You better off buying the rings from Hifiman. I believe there only $10
That they are - just ordered a pair yesterday. Not much you can get for $10 anymore! And the shipping is free...

I'll say. You can't buy $5 for $10 anymore.

I agree that the Universe hybrid and Universe perf leather pads are a bit too bright on Susvara. (The same can be said e.g. for Eikon perf leather.) However, Eikon hybrids are spot-on. :)

Universe perforated suede pads are indeed nice but the solid leather material of the Eikon hybrids is a better choice to my ears for keeping subbass intact + letting Susvara hit in low to mid bass almost like HE6s.
I also own a ZMF Verite Closed, so I have all of the ZMF closed pads. I don't have any of the perferated pads because those are for the Verite Opened. My favorite pads for the VC are the Universe Suede by far. I am going to pick up both a pair of Eikon hybrid and Universe perforated suede with the HIfiman rings. Thanks! I can always use these pads when I ultimately get a VO. Almost pulled the trigger on the recent November sale.

On my research before jumping the Susvara wagon, I’ve found two reviews where the Susvaras had their polarity inverted, so it looks like something intentional from Hifiman’s part (or a big coincidence), any idea why that is?

the other day I had the chance to listen to susvara with dana lazuli nirvana cable, it was a transformative experience in how big a difference that cable made the susvara sound, it made it full sounding and so dynamic and natural, made my norne silvergrade s3 cable sound so bad in comparison, this is the first time ever I hear such a huge difference with cables on a headphone, the change was so big that I told my friend that this is not a susvara but a super susvara, we also had the dana lazuli reference it was ok but nothing like the lazlui nirvana, since that day I am not liking my susvara with norne silvergrade and I am itching now to buy the lazuli nirvana cable now, I wish I did not listen to that cable with sus. Since that day I am trying to get close to that sound with pad rolling using my dekoni pads ( all of them ) and no its no where near using stock pads and lazuli nirvana cable, but man the lazuli cable is very expensive

I am gonna go out on an limb and say you will get a bigger improvement spending the $3500 upgrading your amp/dac as opposed to buying that cable. What in the actual **** lol, 3.5k for headphone cables, your money tho, and can't lie I am curious what they sound like

my point is for someone who already has one the best amp/dacs, not for someone who has a sus and drives it out of a poor setup, i myself would not buy such a cable for that price

I get it, but I mean unless you got one of those 100k DACs like MSB Select ii or Kassadra Sig LE there's almost always somewhere in your chain you can put put the money to better use for in electronics, not even just amp/dacs, but USB conditioner, Reclocks, Streamer, ect....

I spent a lot of money on cables when I first started building my system and wished somebody had told me, hey don't do that

It's your hobby/pastime, enjoy it your way. I'd rather spend the money on an exotic cable than lose that money at a casino.

That's a false choice. I would rather hit a pole with my car than lose the money to fix it in a Casino.
