My take susvara jazz and blues, hd800S played classicle and electronic well as a comparison. The susvara being a little soft is it more like lcd4? Than phi and it’s punch. Hd800S being a little wide and distant but distinct compared to susvara

As others have found it here, I found the HD800S a little diffused whereas to me the Susvara is very pinpoint focused with a precise instrument positioning and distinction (separation). I've written up my thoughts on the Susvara :-

P.S. PM me know of any typos or grammatical errors pls!

Accurate beast, isn't it?
To my ears, its ability to reproduce instrument placement and clarity in separation from other instruments is one of its strong attributes. Yet the entire ensemble sounds coherent and musical.

The weight of the Abyss is a bit more concentrated and used to get to me after a while so I made my own headband. LCD4 pads feel like luxury at first when you put them on, but I found it too clampy after a fairly short amount of time. I found the vertical adjustment bit of the HEK headband (same design as susvara) dug into the side of my skull and that was quite uncomfortable quite quickly too...

From memory, I think the only pair of headphones I had that was comfortable was the ultrasone edition 8. Too bad it didn't sound very good. :p

Try R10. The comfortable level is god like.

Another great review by Anakchan!

Anakchan is a reviewer who can paint you a perfect picture, with just a few words. He skips all the unnecessary details and go straight to the keys points. This is what I call PRECISION and EFFICIENCY! Bravo!

I agree. To say that Susvara sounds artificial would be a crime.

likewise. i think that they can be categorised as reviews. they contain subjective impressions and objective measurements. the measurements are interpreted in an impartial manner, but the reviewer does express his opinion and personal sonic preferences, which is fine.

The 10 dB dip at 2 KHz…. must be noticeable.
