Indeed, for Stax i can see the reason, but for planars or dynamics? Nah...

I have owned 2 susvara over the years and kept them quite carefully without such a set up and never encountered any issues..hopefully I will not jinx myself lol

I decided I didn't want to display anything, but needed to protect the Susvara (I have 2 dogs, you can see them in prior pics, and a violent, abusive girlfriend), as well as have easy access to it with the cables always left attached - so I'm returning the stand and staying with this ugly but practical mess:

I advice to keep diggin some holes into those cabins....summers may **** up the humidity.

Not gonna lie, your cables look awful. Get some custom stuff, doesn't need to be gold plated palladium, are you sure they are worth the trouble they make? It even pains me to look at them. If you're happy with them, live on your (not so) peaceful life.

They now call people like me " a cable denier" - I don't believe cables make a difference, and I need a 17' long cable to be able to move around picking CD's from the shelves with the HP still connected and on my head. If I leave them on the table the dogs get them.

I love having a display case for headphone protection and easy access! Just got this one in for my Susvara/VC. Never mind the haters - a good $7k+ in gear is worth protecting IMO even if it’s not 100% necessary
