HiFiMan Susvara

Then it tends to sit on the wires if you dont get it high enough ...
Which is why I bought and then sold a Rooms stand.

I now just use one of those cheap clip-ons off the edge of my coffee table, which keeps the Susvara within easy reach and yet out of my visual space when I'm not using it. Obviously, some people prefer to keep their headphones on continuous display, and my solution wouldn't work for them.

I recommend those clear acrylic boxes meant to display collectibles and toys. They’re lightweight, pretty, and practical too. Stackable too for those with larger collections.

Looks like I'm walking in the hifi shop! Any link to buy?

Couldn’t find a link to the exact one that I have because I buy from a local seller, but it is very similar to this one I link below. Mine has a hinge on the bottom but the hinge on the link is on the side while which seems better actually.

I think you need more than 15" tall, probably about 17".
that’s huge. Mine is 14.17 inches (36cm) tall and the photo with the headphones in them shows it’s just the perfect size.

You guys obviously like posh stands! My cheap and cheerful ones are definitely high enough so the wires are clear of the base. And that is with the phones supported by the metal band.
My problem is mines a wooden cheapy (£15) ... that was raised with a bubble wrap pillow ... Still not high enough lol - My susvaras get only the best lol!

Pairing and EQ is not always a total match for me so I decided to take the DSP route with a old card UAD-2 Solo. Susvara has this unforgiving side and can make bad records just sound dull and dry. Builtin EQ on all the players I have tried, seems to compress the air out of the soundstage.

I remember the Sonnox OXFORD EQ being the most clean/neutral sounding, and I think I have success with it and Jriver. Sound feels unaltered, like its apart of the headphone. Susvara has gained this liquidy sound, and is more forgiving on the bad recordings, which actually sounds better now. More analog umpf, velvety.

From the EQ it does not look like much. Trust me Sonnox is tight and responsive. Im glad I changed to Jriver from Foobar2000. Jriver is more loose and free, where Foobar2000 sounds so technical tight timed and clean.
