I see that the cable is angled more toward the front, like Audeze, rather than straight down into your shoulders. Nice.

On the HE400 thread I specifically mentioned the Senn Orpheus pads and how someone needed to do that for the Hifiman cans.

I'm much too lazy to search but im positive I began the motion. This was before all the pad commotion happening with the HE400.

^^ Whoa Whoa Whoa...go back and look at the he400 thread. I convinced people to start listening to the velours (yes I did). Then the pad-fi discussion got ramped up. Then there was discussion about getting Mark Lawton to make new pads for the hfm hp's. I got nominated to take the project to Lawton. After three months of talking about the design, Lawton bailed on the project. So I guess I have to take credit for that failure. 
 
So basically it was all meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! rofl

This isnt even the first instance of me mentioning it, and it was before your post. Trust me. I still remember Jerg telling me he'd try to do that at some point. The velour top mod. It wasnt until I mentioned it that he got the idea. Of course, I only mentioned it, not did any modding myself.

Why do I know this? Because I've been very vocal about velour topped pleather pads for ages, even before the HE400 pad insanity. I wanted it done for my D7000s which I owned before the HE400.
