The little dayton t-amp.  I thought I'd use it to save space on my little custom made tv shelf but it turns out I found a cheap sony receiver that was shallow enough and has been good to me ever since for the past 1.5 years or so.

I dunno what I was thinking anyways.  Having a remote is such a huge deal with speakers hooked up to tv.

Just some food for thought.. Played the song My Sunset by Feint... SOOO much layering of detail... VS HE400... HE400 uses middle finger attack!

ALL VIOLINS, INSTRUMENTS, SYNTHS, and BASS LINE PRESENT hahahaha

Also ehhh... I have a feeling I didn't mod my Jerg pads correctly... Somebody help? I removed the foam pads, did the circle cut outs on the inside, also removed the outside strip as well as slightly vent the back to allow for the angling of the drivers... The only thing I haven't done is the taping of the front for bass and the velour top mod... I'm too scared I'll waste my only pair of velours haha XD... My velours still sound better??... I'm rather confused...

In light of the recent HE-400 coloration talk, I thought I'd post my EQs for iTunes users.

The first two are non-intrusive and I can guarantee that they don't ruin sound quality.  The last one is very intrusive but it's meant to be.

Raven I noticed that in your sibilants mod you decreased the 8khz area by about 3db give or take. Does this really get rid of sibilants for you?

I had that area reduced by around 3.5db for a few weeks and indeed it reduces sibilants, but doesn't completely rid it. I went ahead and lowered it a few more decibels and now I think it's gone completely. I have the 9 Khz (and surrounding frequencies) region reduced by 5dbs at the lowest region.

Im currently testing out some songs, but so far it seems like a winner, no hint of harshness at all.

The only time I ever bothered with the electri-q that everybody is seen using is the time I tried to make the HE-400 sound like the LCD2.  The picture of it along with file download is somewhere in this monstrous thread.
