NT-6 + Whiplash Hybrid V3 = an exceptionally detailed and musical reference while stock it is more analytical. The clarity of this combo goes above my 100 point scale at 105 while stock is 97.

NT-6 pro = more fun while having similar musical qualities.  Clarity is rated at 100.

Did you try the Whiplash Hybrid V3 or any other upgrade cable with the NT6 Pro to see if it would do the same thing or are you just comparing to the stock NT6 Pro cable?

Yes, but it didn't have the same effect.

Hey guys any comparisons of the hidition NT6 with tralucent 1p2? Was looking to get a 1p2 but was referred to the NT6 for my preference of clarity. I'm currently using a rhapsodio r2l with copper silver hybrid cable and the clarity is outstanding, so much so that when I went to jaben to try out their f111, parterre, jh13, jh5, ck100pro, and quite a few other iems, I was underwhelmed with their clarity. Only the jh13 and DBA 02 mkII sounded clear. Another question, are the NT6s still clear if paired simply with an iPhone 4?

The NT-6 is clear with whatever you pair it with as that is part of the sound signature.

Yes, their site language change doesn't work well, but you can use Google to translate.  Here is the link.

Sorry that I have to answer you a question again ;p.

To be honest, they sound very similar on instant listening. Both has great bass, imaging, clarity and neutralness.

Compared with 1+2, NT6 sounds slightly more mid forward with smoother lower treble region providing a very well balanced vocal presentations (upper vocal can be a little bit hot depending on the songs). NT6 has a slightly lifted mid high area (9k-11k Hz) which generate super combination of clarity and resolution without going too hot.

1+2 on the other hand has a lifted upper mid/lower treble region (4k-8k Hz) leading to superior soundstage width and pin point imaging. Treble extension on both IEMs are about the same, so I would say they are equally clear, just with different type of clarity. If you want more clarity, detail and brightness in vocal, I would say 1+2 is better, if you want ultimate clarity with everything, especially in instruments, NT6 maybe 5% clearer (which is the brightest I can accept).

Like I said before, they sound more similar than different.

NT6 is clear whatever you pair it, but I would recommend you pair it with something that has great treble extension. With rolled off upper treble like ak120 or 901 will actually make NT6 sounds harsh/less smooth and too forward.

Thanks, I guess I'm the kind of guy who likes clarity in everything( my inventory list says nothing of my tastes, except for the rhapsodio r2l) so I guess.... I might just get the NT6, it being cheaper ( or at least I think. If I'm wrong, please correct me ) and with more clarity it should be my next Iem. Anybody thinks I'm too young to get customs?( I'm 15 ) would a universal shell be a better way to go?( please note that I could just barely fit the huge jh13 demo shell into my ears )

wow 15. . If you wear CIEMs too much, it might cause your ear stop growing while other parts still are ;P. you don't want to have tiny ears on your head. lol just joking.

It's your call, you can get CIEMs for sure, you might have to buy another one in two years time when you find out your current one doesn't fit well any more.

1 or 2 years......... I guess I could live with that, the superior fit and isolation and comfort would justify the cost of a reshell. Now only thing I gotta do is to find out how to get one without my parents knowing ;) they wouldn't be too happy if I spent ~~1500 Singapore dollars on just one IEM. There isn't any distributor here in Singapore ;(.... Is it possible if a friend helps me to buy it? I actually doubt so cos of the official ownership stuff etc
