Just wanted to share that mine arrived today. I have ordered directly from Hiby, delivery to UK was quick, thanks @HiByMusic

First impressions is its a great DAP, substantial size and weight. Screen is fantastic
I have only run it for about 20 min but definitely can hear the sonic difference compared to R6 III. No regrets

The only thing at the moment, buttons seem to be easy to press and had couple of situations where I managed to press "next track" while changing volume. I guess a matter of getting used to handling the new device

The R6 P2 is in! While I have only an hour of use. I’m already noticing a wider sound over the R6 III. I’m curious to see how close this sounds to the Topping E70V. Overall a good experience from the sound side already.

Agreed! I keep pressing a track or pause button picking it up from my desk. I’m thinking about turning off the functions though when the screen is off. I’ll see how I adjust over the next few days.

The button thing when picking up the dap with the case was bothering me so I did some investigating. The button areas have little plastic bits to aide in activating the buttons while in the case. I just caught the edges with my finger nail and pulled the little plastic bits back enough to reveal and pull the plastic bits out. Once you push the felt back in, it hold from the prior adhesive. This require you to press in a little more to activate any of the buttons but it stopped the accidental pressing at least for me.

@ corgifall I had the same experience with the R5-2 I used the same solution as you and no more odd track jumps and pausing

So I have tried running my full headphones.
HD6XX - High Gain - Volume 60/100
Clear MG - High Gain - Volume 50/100

Have I heard them sounding better? Yes, on the desktop setup with Gustard R26 dac and Burson/Cayin amps I used to own.

In my opinion they are both driven very well by the R6ProII, bearing in mind price of the unit, portability... I dont feel I'm missing that much to be honest.

I'm transitioning from desktop setup to fully portable. I was planning to sell remaining headphone and get more IEMs... But now I seriously consider keeping them... good result

Ordered from hifigo the purple one... no idea when it will be shipped. On sale the sr25. I am really curious to hear this new dap. I will use only with iems so power will be ok for sure. I have various cirrus, ess and ak dacs and the one I like more is the 4499 in the d90 (+a90), followed by the 4493 of the rme adi dac2

I say keep one amp for the line out option, and check out plunge audio if you're looking for iems

I'm waiting for comparisons between the r6 pro 2 and the wm1am2

I have just tried USB output to my Fiio K7 feeding my active speakers, worked like a charm not sure if this has answered your question
