@Joe Bloggs
Hi, I'm just wondering if there has been any movement on the Roon-ready status of the R6 Pro II? I saw the RS8 is now capable, and it's been just about 1 year since the last mention of Roon in this thread.

As far as I can tell other models will get Roon ready one or two firmwares hence as we rotate through updating firmware for each model.

Please let us know. Has anyone managed to open any 32-1536 or 32-768 PCM file on the Hiby R6 Pro II, and if so with which player (neither Hiby Music Pro, UAPP nor Neutron works for me in this range).
Or is this just a publicity stunt?

Any update on that UI doc? SHould I maybe post it for discussion maybe other users can chime in?
Your proposals are welcome and the devs were eager to look at it by all accounts, but implementing them and testing them for release might be another matter in terms of the resources we have available. Let me ask them again for an update.

Update: I have received the following list of intended updates to the UI stemming from your suggestions:
+Class A / Class AB mode labels will drop the underscore ("_");
+Additional subtitles for Audio Settings menu items;
+Gain Mode to become menu item allowing direct selection of low / mid / high gains rather than cycle-through;
+Adding MSEB setting sharing function;
+Adjusting / syncing theme colours of MSEB and PEQ;
-(Plugin UIs are unchangeable for now)

Great to hear this.
Slow but steady...

I'll send you some other updates.

And I hope there will be a violet version of interface and startup screen for Hiby Music App.
I'll dig deeper in hiby app as well as I said before.

I really appreciate the community engagement. It reaffirms my choosing of this unit over some of the other options I had looked at.

Thanks hiby team for the quick turn around of slightly more than a month(was really sad that I couldn't try out stuff during canjam SG with it though)

Sadly the R6 max isn't to my taste.

What did you not like about the R6Pro Max? I have the R6Pro II as well as the iBasso DX180 and I’m thinking about getting the R6Pro Max as well.

Pro Max more towards R8 kind of sound meater slower detail abit lost. If you like R8 sound go ahead.

My personal preference is towards thin fast slightly warm and lots of dry micro texturing.

I tend to like a warmer sound with thicker body, which is what I get from the R6Pro II and dx180, so I suspect I’ll like the Max…
