Headphone Sightings 2

I went to check out the Dieter Rams exhibit at San Francisco MOMA over the weekend. He was a very influential industrial designer, who emphasized the ethos "less, but better". There was a part of the exhibit that showcased designs that Dieter Rams's ideas influenced, including lots of products from Apple and one very clean and simple looking AIAIAI TMA-1. It's the first time I've seen one of those in person, and it is a very slick looking headphone.

Ugh. I wish headphones would go back to simple model names... that's more confusing than the Mercedes Benz car models. Why not just the Focus? Or the... AI-1? Or, headphones?

Other guy bought it for $100, which is a good deal IMO.

Saw another pair of NC7's, I think thst's four at my school now. A friend let me try them today and after suffering through both the terrible sound quality (Poor bass response, muted guitars, drums, etc) and comfort level, I needed the comfort of my own headphones, only to have another friend let me try his.

They were JBL supra-aurals, though I don't know the model. They looked partially opened-backed from a distance, but they weren't. Sound was decent, but it was hard to get a good seal. Other than those, iBeats, Bose in-ears, and a pair of Grado SR060i's on a teacher's desk.
