Since January in the East Village, I've spotted:
ONE other dude with a pair of Sennheiser HD25-1s this weekend in Washington Square Park (I was very surprised, especially since we were both doing some DSLR photography work).
One pair of Shure E4cs.
One pair of Klipsch (the really tiny ones, I forget what they're called).
One or two pairs of Audio Technica ON3s (not a big surprise, AC Gears is right on 8th street).
Two pairs of Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros.
Two pairs of Sennheiser HD555s/HD595s.
Two or three pairs of Audio Technica ANC-7s (AC gears sells these).
Three pairs of Grado SR-60s (AC gears sell these also).
Four pairs of Koss PortaPros.
About five or six pairs of Audio Technica ATH-ES7s (again, AC Gears).
A depressing number of Skullcandies (mostly the Hesh) and Bose Triports (IE, OE, AE). The headphone I've seen the most of are the Sony MDR-V300s (yuck) and some JVCs that remind me of the ES7s.
A fair number of Panasonic HTX7s or some lookalikes.
Some PX100s and PX200s.

I've seen PX100s on airplanes and I think a guy I sat next to was sporting Shure IEMs. When I'm in public, I'm usually sporting my PortaPros, though if you're lucky I'll be in my HD-555's or something.

I ignore all the BuyOtherSoundEquipment and Skullcandy crap. You see it so often that it makes you cringe.

I saw a guy with portapro's on campus today (UCSD). It's the first time I've seen them in person. They look better in person than in pictures.

I'm resurrecting this.

During the bus trip to Blue Man Group, I saw:
Air Cushions
Philips clip-ons
Some type of small black iems
and about 20 pairs of ibuds

My friend tried to buy the DT220s I brought. Needless to say, I didn't even consider accepting his offer of $22.

And I saw a pair of IE7s in a mall.

Saw a pair of Westone 3's today, and...oh wait, turns out I was looking at myself from a reflective surface!

Seriously, I've seen another pair of Westone 3's on the bus on the way to work, but as usual, in the mornings, I'm too tired to strike up conversations with people (not a morning person). Also seen a few people with the off-brand Ultrasone HFI-780s, and yes, tons of iBuds and Skullcandies. Bose, don't even get me started.

Definitely, because Bose owners pay a lot more for their rip-off headphones. Skullcandy, I can see casual listeners justify because they're relatively cheap, and many vain people like them for their variety of different designs.

I have now seen all four varieties of the koss portapros. Blue, black, rad and yellow.

I also for the first time saw a pair of grados that weren't mine. The guy sporting tham had the biggest grin on his face, and I could totally relate to the sensation.
