I suppose, although I've had the HD448 and now the HD558 and the latter are much bigger and rather useless outside the home. I'm just picking nits here

Depends on the source. Fresh and new, they sound pretty bad, after you remove the foam between the pads and the driver, its better, and after about 50 hours of burn-in it sounds excellent, but with a bit of an overemporing bass. Listening with an iPod with Treble Booster is a lot better, and when you hook it up to a FiiO E5 with Bass Booster on, the bass becomes tighter and a lot for controlled. I think it is, though. Its like without the E5 the bass is a pillow hitting you at 10mph, and with the E5 its like a textbook slamming your chest at 15mph.  Much better. The isolation is also excellent. I can listen to them on my highest tolerable volume during a test and no one will care. If you're a bit of a basshead, I recommend them.

All the dam* Freshman Bringing the beats into my high school. I mob up with my senn hd580 or my Akg 701 or My beyer dt 990 and i say Yeah if you want bass goo beats but if you want music Go my way.
And everyone looks at my like Im dope. Oh and the sony xb 700s get eyes turning.

Spotted a gal on the bus who wore a heaphone that had a mirror finish though. Couldn't figure out what it was, but it has a much smaller and thinner headband than the ES7.
