They're both using Shure SRH240. The sound in most of their videos is hideously strident in the lower treble. Now I know why:

One of roommates (whom I'm kinda stuck with since I'm in Afghanistan) recently showed me some skullcandy headphones that he got from someone else. That was about a week ago when I started reading head-fi. So I tried them on and listened to one of his songs...and it just sounded like a bunch of noise. Lows seemed non-existent. He then told me that these headphones get him pumped. I didn't say anything back, but I just thought to myself, "You've got to be kidding me..."

they sounded all right compared to my now gone M50's at the apple store. though I thought they were $60 max...
