Matches all my gear which are usually a combo of black and silver. Although I'm thinking it would look better in a single color.

If no special request is made, will knob color match the case.
E.g. if clear specified on preorder, will the knob be clear too?
And is red the only LED option?

Thanks

mine arrived today, too...#005. i'm listening to it right now and here are some initial thoughts:

- using livewires IEM, macbook, itunes w/AL tracks

- it's dead quiet. no hiss whatsoever. and considering how sensitive these IEMs are, i'm very impressed. the livewires straight out of the macbook headphone port is very hissy. none whatsoever out of the pico.

- the bass is fantastic. the impact is noticeable compared to straight out of the macbook...

- something i look for in a good amp/source - how it punishes poor recordings. i have a bad rip/conversion of lily allen's album and it sounds awful through the pico. awful. i also have the original CD and it sounds much better than the mp3s i have of it...nice.

the pico is tiny, as many have said. my favorite part of the pico so far is its knob. though small, it has a good grip to it b/c of its design and i also love how it tracks. it's a bit tighter than most knobs and i like that.

very nice, justin. thanks!

Ed,

Great pictures, I think it looks fantastic. That is the exact color scheme that I ordered also. Black and Silver always look good together. (Raiders Amp)

Merry Christmas,
Steve

I'm listening to 10000 maniacs unplugged from my Iriver 140 (all songs ripped as musepack). Pico has been running since last night... I can't possibly tell the difference with my UM2's. It sounded good last night and it is the same now

I don't think this amp requires a burn-in time.

It is indeed a very quiet amp. With no source connected and volume turned up all the way there is no hiss in low gain and very little when flipped to high gain.

Why would an electronic device made of transistors require a burn-in time? I'm new to this audiophile talk but I really don't get how the pico could sound better after a set period of time.

Same color combo as my order (except knob also silver). You made me very happy I went black/silver! Love the etching/letting on clear.

As the all black is also great, I wonder if any color choice looks bad? Props to the first photos of an ugly Pico!

Capacitors burn-in, not transistors.
