Maybe this has been put out there already I could find no post of the sort.
With all the sponsored cans floating around, as well as so many OEM manufacturers and custom modders in here, together with the massive knowledge, experience and INFLUENCE this forum has, why is there not ( at least considered ) a HEAD-FI edition Headphone?

It wouldn't have to be a single model, it could be a couple. I guess there would have to be some sort of common agreement, the $ outlay, the aesthetics, etc. I doubt anyone could agree on a specific design spec.

I don't know it's something I had been milling over in my mind wondering why. You would think that the HEAD-FI branding would be beneficial to companies, unless the final products were subject to too much criticism from all angles the instant it showed up.

Could a couple of models EVER meet the standards of the HEAD-FI name?
What would YOU want to see in a Flagship (s)?

Just throwing this out there, see how it develops.

Maybe it would get some sponsors of the site choked?

FlagShip:
Fostex T50Rp for Ortho
ATH-M50's for BassHeads
Grado SR60I for Modders
Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 for IEM
Superlux HD-668b for Valuist - yes I made a new term
Sennheiser HD 25-1 II for Portable
Bose Quiet Comfort 15 for Noise Canceling

I think I got a good starting list. Just so you know, I made this list on value/quality/popularity. The most expensive headphone will never be on my list because they simply are not worth it.
