There should be some useful info for you in the following thread:
Bluetooth DAC discussion

Does anyone have experience with the bluetooth DAP's? There's 4 main ones that I'm looking at (BTR3, BTR5, ES100, ES100mk2) all at varying price points. I'm quite sure they all sound very similar (if not the same if you subtract placebo), but I'm not sure what the practical differences are. On an IOS device.

Have (still own) xb90, z5 and h40 and do agree both the xb90 and z5 have the deepest bass I've yet heard in an iem. The h40 has pretty good bass by my standards but doesn't best the massive 16mm dd of the Sonys. I have just recently acquired the ASG 2.0 and based on comparison to it's 2.5 brother, the 2.0 has the stronger bass presence of the two. The 2.0 primarily focuses on the upper bass region and it doesn't go as low as the Sonys but it punches and thumps way harder even with the bass dial fully opened. I also have a ciem Legend X (LX) and to me the bass depth sits between the Sonys and ASG 2.0. The LX has tremendous energy in the bass region and so it may sound like it has "better" or more bass than the Sonys. However my ears still say the Sonys goes lower\deeper but just isn't as loud as the LX in terms of bass energy.
That's very helpful, thank you! I think the Legend X uses the same "W9" woofer as the Bravado so that's probably a good approximation of the Bravado's bass.

The Legend X has two W9 woofers (Nemesis does also) and, as you'd probably expect, provides significantly more bass. That said, to me the bravado is still bassy and a fun IEM.
I have the Sony XB90, Z5, MDR EX800ST, & ASG 2.5. For me the ASG 2.5 puts out more bass than the XB90. If you don't mind the fit, the MDR EX800ST (w/ tape mod) is one of the top dogs for bass. I can literally feel the air/vibration in my ear. Though I will take my Legend X any day.
(I use DAC/AMP & EQ)

What is the most bassy IEM south of $100 ?
I was fairly happy with the Sony XB50, but wanted better highs, and after a lot of detours, ended up at the KZ ZS7. It's a bit more balanced, but i miss a bit of the boom and the rumble. I have ordered a TFZ no 3, but am not sure i have made the right choice. I am looking at something which is an IEM equivalent of the MDR XB950N1 with bass boost (XB50 sounds more like XB950AP)

BGGAR's video today really hyped this Thor IEM. Wonder why they are only doing 20 though...

If it's actually good they'll make more unless they hate money.... Hopefully it doesn't end up as a Linsoul exclusive, that's my only wish as other views on it roll in. BGGAR can sell the crap out of gear, you gotta give him that.

Does anyone have experience with the CA Polaris V2 as a bass head IEM? Those 2 treble peaks look really annoying. I’m curious how the quality of the bass is.

Also, would any of you consider the Periodic Audio Be a bass head level IEM?

Hi everyone from Ams_\|/_

I usually skateboard with hoodie over my baseball cap, so you can imagine, with Spinfits 240 I had to adjust the SONY EX800ST IEMs once a minute for good seal. Also, inserting them deeper and of course compensating with music volume the whole time. This was all ok, but no more:)

All the above 'complains' are now history.

Yesterday I received these cheap eartips (pictured below, 3 pairs largest size, all for 3 EUR)

https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32982671104.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27af4c4dMPSqJG

I use Hiby player from Samsung A40+Topping NX4DSD+Sony EX800ST+cable pictured below.

After swapping the ear-tips I had to turn down the volume from normally used 12:00 to 9:30 to get comfortable volume.

The new ear tips are made of very soft and grippy/sticky rubber, the inner diameter perfectly fits the IEMs 'sound spout'. They go very deep into my ear canal, AND they make the sides of my ear canal vibrate, so it feels like my whole skull is drilling.

Other tips I tried:

Comply Tx-500 Isolation Plus LARGE (good seal, sound lost subbass a bit, lasted only 2 weeks and fell apart)
Spinfit 240 LARGE and MEDIUM (medium seal, excellent rumbling sound, after sweat IEMs started slipping out of my ear)

Isolation is same as with Spinfits 240 (can hear skateboard and traffic), and I need no more fit adjustments (not once during 2 hours sweaty ride this moroning) and most importantly, I can listen to music at much lower sound volume. The whole time my hoodie was trying to make 'manual transmission stick' effect with the IEMS, but was unsuccessful:)

This is my most favourite forum, thanx everyone writing here. Drill without really good bass sounds like cats on heroin LOL
Smoke IT.
