You might check out the YouTube videos put out by Bad Guy, Good Audio. I don't agree with his recommendations always, but he likes bass and does evaluate iem's in this light.
Speaking of which, BGGAR loves the UM MEST. He ranked it at the top, along with the IER-Z1R, which nothing has been able to equal in his opinion up until now. Big caveat is his is the Japan version. I’m not sure exactly how it differs.

I am guessing that the differences between the Japanese and "other" version of the MEST are pretty small. Maybe slightly more bass?
I have been happy with the MEST. I have never understood the phenomenon of "burn in," but as I have used the MEST more I have experienced some changes in how I hear it. More bass, clearer in the upper mids, less peaky in the treble, fuller overall. Maybe it's my brain. But the MEST is a very good IEM. NOT a basshead IEM, but a good all-arounder.

It may not have been what you wanted when you got it, but it looks like you purchased a gem of an IEM regardless. The dynamic driver can sometimes sound different after a period of breaking in, just like with dynamic speakers. It is more controversial with other driver technology. One does become more used to a sound signature over time also.

Hey guys one more thing :smile_phones:. Just ordered The Urbanfuns :L3000: and also Spinfits CP145 and complys tx 400. Now any recommendation for an portable dac(amp?) for the urbanfuns/blons and also the Hph 500 pro`s they are both not hard to drive but I notice a big difference using an old Harman Kardon reciever/amp. Ah and I would use it on PC too if possible.
under 150 would be nice :)

I’d consider the EarStudio ES100 Mk2 or the iFi Hip-dac.

Have cx9s

That don't count cause it has an armature driver. :) No self respecting Basshead will buy an armature earphone even with a bass exciter. :imp:

Mostly there is truth here, but the JHAudio 16 Pro v2 and Roxanne have BA drivers and they deliver LOTS of bass. I will add that the difference in bass between the cx8 and cx9 is pretty subtle.

I’d consider the EarStudio ES100 Mk2 or the iFi Hip-dac.

hip-dac isn't wireless, EarStudio ES100 Mk2 is from what I can tell. From our roster we'd have to take xCAN/xDSD (both wireless), but these are pricier :)

I didn’t think that he specified wanting a wireless dac/amp, just that he would want it to be less than $150.

Yeah it doesn't need to be Bluetooth as long as I can connect it via USB to my PC. The Ifi hip-dac looks very promising and the bass boost is reported as very clean.
But as for the es100 can´t get it, but isn´t the fiio Btr5 even better ?
How would the hip-dac compare to the fiio ?

I'll leave this subject for others to tackle. I will say though that hip-dac has a lot of power given its size, and its bass boost feature (in other iFi products too!) is considered here on HF as nicely implemented.

I have been reminded: the bassiest iem sound ever was probably from the Hippo VB iem of about 8+ years ago. It has three screw-in ports in back, one for super bass, one for light bass, and one "in between." With the heavy bass port in place, the bass was obscenely huge. Not well controlled, of course, and the higher frequencies suffered. But if what you wanted was BASS the Hippo VB supplied BASS.
