I certainly am. I have a pair of D5000's that I currently run on an EF1 and it's amazing. I'm really debating on upgrading to the EF5. I'm sure it will only sound better with your D7000's.

I am running my D2000's with the EF5 and it is incredible...I can only imagine what either the 5000 or 7000 would sound like with this amp. Nothing short of amazing if the D2000 is any guide.

Haven't actually heard either though.

I have about 2 weeks with this amp and I must say that it is the best one I have heard so far (this being a headphone amp). Although reluctant to move away the Corda Cantate.2 from my desk when the EF5 arrived I was immediately charmed by its sound the moment I tried it with the HE-5, and on top of that the K701 has never sounded more musical. I fully recommend this amp, and I think I wont be buying any other amp for this year, at least, next year we'll see.

Hello everybody,

I know this is fairly common, but I have a slight hissing sound in the left side every time I adjust the volume. I already tried the moving the volume knob for 30 seconds, and it works, though shortly after the problem still persists. My guess is some electric static is causing the problem, it doesn't really bother me, since it is not noticeable when playing the music and not adjusting the volume. Anyone also have this small issue? Cheers,

Search for posts by headphone addict - out of 30 posts, I found 2 relevant posts in the first 15 but didn't have time to read al 30.

The WA6 is more spacious and refined, but seems to have about 1/3 the power of the EF5, which does drive the HE-5 more commandingly. While the WA6 plays louder than normal listening, it is not very loud loud the EF5 or ZDT.

I got EF5+ D7000 combo.
While it sounds great , I think the gain is too high for D7000(even on low gain mode).
I cant go past 9-10 o'clock or its too loud for me.
I notice that even the volume is all the way down to zero , I can hear music on the left channel(very low volume but noticable).
This is not the case for HE-5.The EF5+HE-5 combo is dead silent.
I dont know this is normal or my EF5 is defective.
Anyone have D7000 and EF5 ,please elaborate.

This is normal, on my Audio-Technicas, which are low Z like your Denon I can hear music when the volume is all the way down. This is supposedly part of the design of the volume control. There is also a slight channel imbalance before the 9 o'clock position for me too.

If the D7000 are your main phones you may want to turn down the level at your source a bit if you can.
