For 1400 I want a cable upgrade at the least...
Quote:That's just getting a bit silly. These higher end flagship headphones with "proper" pricing (relative to performance) make more sense at $600-700 tops, imo.
I agree. I would pick up a pair for enjoyment at $700. $1400 always seemed like a bit much for the performance of the cans.

wanted to get a sennheiser headphone stand, the HH10 and its nearly double price in europe than it is in the US!
Quote:Quote:It seems in Europe they are cheaper. Saw some on some HD800s WITH and omega headphone stand at some Spanish website for 1067 some dollars if you converted the euros to usd.
everything from Sennheiser is cheaper in Europe
its 16€ in Europe. How much cheaper is it in USA? It can't be much cheaper if at all

How much are the top teir Grado's, Ultrasone and Beyer-are any at $700.??? and i think the HD800 surpasses all of them.

Really? How much do the D7000 retail for that you own? You're telling me you don't think the HD800 are more resolving and more accurate than the D7000?
MSRP at Sennheiser USA is $1,799.95. (http://www.sennheiserusa.com/dynamic-stereo-headphones-high-sound-quality_500319)
And here I thought prices would decline over time.

Interesting. The Canadian list price (since the HD800 hit the streets) was $1800. The Canadian dollar is now slightly above par with the US currency. So Sennheiser has brought the US list up to what the Canadian is, instead of lowering the Canadian SRP to the US one. What a ripoff.
Quote:I know there's a premium for "the best", but $1400 was already up there in comparison to the other flagships available as-is.
the cheapest i've found in UK is 18GBP, and they go for about 15usd in USA
