If anyone's interested in buying some beyer's try www.proaudiostar.com.  I just bought a new pair there last night and they have this thing where you can name a price.  I got them to drop $25 and free shipping too!  I can't wait to get my DT880's(600 ohm).  I keep reading reviews about them just to excite myself more!

Thanks for the info, wish I knew about this earlier though :)
What amp did you end up getting?

hi all, I am considering between dt880 and dt770 600 ohm models. Since I have already had the dt880 250 Ohm version and experienced with the differences between bass light and bass heavy version. I am also afraid that I may take the bass heavy version on Amazon. Any recommendation because the shipping fee from US to VN is quite expensive :frowning2:.

I am getting the DT770 _PRO_ 32Ohm headphones, and appearently they were bought from a norwegian website just last year. I only hear about the non pro 32Ohm version. Does anyone know anything about the 32Ohm _PRO_ version?

I've never seen or heard of a 32 ohm pro model.  There isn't one on Beyer's website either.  I don't think it exists.

Hmm...

It says 80 in one place and 32 in another.  Someone needs to measure it and check.

I've seen that before. They just use the same box, but put stickers on to indicate the changed impedance. It makes sense; much easier to do that rather than print an entire run of different boxes.

Oh who are you kidding... you're going to wind up buying all of them and doing a comparison anyways

You clearly have too much supplemental money on your hands, which is pushing you into a downward spiral of indulgence. It will be a burden, but I am willing to relieve you of some of that excess so that you may resume a healthy lifestyle of only moderate hedonism.

I wish I had too much supplemental money, i wish i had ANY money lol, ive been unemployed since October lol :p

But, before Octobers disaster I did own the T1 and I loved it, by far my favorite high end can.  So, Im also in love with the new Dt880.  Its just the overall sound and comfort.  I feel stupid for not giving it a chance years ago.  Plays amazingly well right out of my sansa clip.  Im actually very happy with them, first time I have smiled and been really happy with a set of headphones since october heh, must have gone through 20 or 30  earbuds, portables and full size sets and not one really truly made me go :D  except the DT880s :\

im...im...im so happy T_T

Man, how have you been going through all those new toys without a job? Just judicious buy/sell/trading?

I have yet to find a Beyer that I really like, though the 880 was the "least disliked" of the 770/880/990 family. The T50p was ok, the DT48e was fascinating but not something I could relax with. I wish I could try out some of the top-of-the-line stuff, but probably not anytime soon.

you bet cha, the small amount of gear I had left after the fire funded the first purchase, sold that to get the next and so on and so on until now. You can track my journey over the past few months in my feedback hehe,  I didnt add one red cent to any purchases and never made any profit heh.  I dont plan to rebuild my collection, I would love to stick with the DT880 for a bit.  And ya, if you can get to testing the T1, please do so.  It is, at least to my ears, the most fun and enjoyable high end set of headphones
