They're a bigger diameter driver G-pad headphone. They do sound like Grados but also different. I mean they're nice but not exciting. They have a warm sound like an old radio. Voices and mids in general are rendered beautifully. Upper bass is thick but lower bass is not. Lower treble is there but no real high treble. So we have a bell-curved frequency curve.

GH2s are similar to the PS500e but way more exciting. And PS500e are similar to the White but also way more exciting.

The Whites are my most expensive Grados but i cannot really say they were worth it. When i want this kind of sound i use my GS1000is. The White are just sitting there, looking cool.

If it's voice heavy non complex music within the White's frequency range like classic music or jazz or the Beatles they sound great. ***But the RS1 buttons always will sound greater.***

Maybe my brain will burn in to the Whites after some years?! :)

*** One of Grado best! ☑️

Cannot comment on Alessandro, but I will say that Alejandro (Escovedo) sounds outstanding on Grados!

The burned in version much more...
It's pretty rare to see anyone do direct comparisons of this nature. Very cool. A lot of the discourse around burn in results in comparisons that are designed to fail I think. How many people have actually gone through this effort? Just something interesting to think about is all. I agree tho, it makes a giant difference. I find that nearly everything the RS1X is criticized for improves, the more they burn in ime. My 325i also have thousands of hours and sound stupidly good, considering the original price.

I'd love it if someone like Marv tested a grado with 500 hours against one new out of the box.

The opportunity arose by chance:

I had put my PS1000 with around 500 operating hours up for sale. Then a prospective buyer came to me and wanted to try out my PS1000. At the same time, he had a brand-new pair in its original packaging from an online retailer, so we were able to compare the two headphones directly.

He then bought my PS1000 and sent the new unit back to the dealer....

The GS3000x along with a new cd-transport arrived. The sound coming from the GS3000x is a nice alternative to the Ps2000e.

The Polish headband is much comfortable. It seems I was using a headband for the much smaller Grado's.
