So today was the big waxing day for the woody family :dt880smile:
How does the RS1x respond to the Feed-N-Wax with the various woods? Any noticeable changes to the wood tones after treatment? Thanks in advance.

Did you take them apart, i.e. removed the cups from the gimbals?
Nice color GH2 you got…
Yes - (not for the GSk2e though)

I think it looks really good. I only applied a very thin layer - allowed to absorb for 20 -30 min, then polished. To do this properly, I disassembled them. The different woods gets a nice glow to them...

Great procedure 👍 (and pretty much what I do).

Cocobolo wood (for GH2) is darker, deeper than other woods.

Gotta say, I love my modified 325i. these things kick so much ass. They compliment my RS1x perfectly too and I didn't even plan that. More bass and less treble. More grados is always good

The hemps are probably cool. I'd like to own em all if I could! My 325i are bass canons tho(for a grado). So both these headphones cover most bases haha. To clarify, these 325 are very modified tho.

Maybe I'm going insane. But my RS1X are getting brighter overtime. They keep changing haha. first they got warmer. Now the upper mids have a lot more bite than they used to(in a good way). A few albums I didn't like on the RS1X sound amazing now.

How many hours do you have on your RS-1x?

probably around 80+ at this point. Haven't kept track. But I'd say 80 is a very modest estimate

The weirdest thing is, I even run them at a lower volume than I used to now. They opened up so much it gives the impression that they're louder. I don't know if that makes sense. Probably not. But it just sounds more crisp and clean. They sound more comfortable at a lower volume now. Best way I can explain it.
