And now ... my Grado summit ...
Very well put..I got the G pads this morning from Grado. The purist probably won't like what I'm about to say, but......
They are fantastic. They fit entirely over my ear and are very comfortable. AND the sound is even better in my opinion. The bass is more pronounced but not flabby.
I've got around 20 hours on them, and they are really "opening up" for lack of a better term.
Right behind you my friend. Using Grados RS1i with a Fiio KA5 and my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Using Apple Music HiRes, and lossless mostly.Th G pads on my RS325X are fantastic. I get no reduction in mids and highs, but a boost with the low end. The pads go around my ears and are very comfortable. I've got 25 hours or so on the RS325X and I am seriously impressed with them. I laid in bed last night until the wee hours, listening to all sorts of music. I'm running an iPhone 15 Pro Max through a Fiio KA3. I've ordered a Shanling UA5 that will be here monday.
This is my dream headphoneGS3000x is wonderful ... detailed, rich, sonorous. Also, beautiful to look at.
I use the 'Large' for Grados with G-pads (GS3000x, PS2000e), the 'Regular' for Grados with F-pads (Hemp, all Limited Editions, PS500e, RS-1x).Anyone using the Large Hard-Shell Case For Grado Headphones sold by Grados? Traveling soon and need a safe means of transporting my cans. With shipping to my house, money comes out to be $70 for a case. Don't know if its worth it, or if to go third party... decisions.
How they stack up against the GH4’s?Received my GH1 today. Listening to them right now. The GH1 is a different animal. I can’t remember hearing another headphone similar to this one. Sound description is not a specialty with me & the conventional terms used by members on Head-fi are not ones coming to mind. The terms, deep, expanded, clear, detailed with solid bass is what I’m hearing/ experiencing. The album playing is Delta Kream by the Black Keys. At times I feel as if I’m sitting in the studio room with the band.
^hi firstly which grado are you wanting a case for . You can pick up for around £10 to fit all the SR range with S cush and L pads. Or the much larger grado for the GS , and PS range with G pads. But yes you can also buy a cheaper one which will work ok . Mine was only about £15. Bought from the uk eBay. Holy moly…. I will assume you are a big fan of them. Got any extra you’d sell?I use the 'Large' for Grados with G-pads (GS3000x, PS2000e), the 'Regular' for Grados with F-pads (Hemp, all Limited Editions, PS500e, RS-1x).
Highly contemplating the large to fit my G cups. But man… $70 seems steep for just a case. We’ll see. Amazon prime is calling my name slightly lol^hi firstly which grado are you wanting a case for .
