Yes...because the Beyer drowns out the noise of my air conditioner.***

But I might be able to still use my Grados in the morning before my house gets too hot.

*** with a median sensitivity of 99.8 dB / milliwatt, any Grado can be made to drown out that ‘sonofabitch’ …

I have to put away my Grados for the summer. Today I had to turn on the air conditioner for the first time this year...and I have a vent right above my computer (where I do most of my listening). The T5p offers great isolation, so that's the headphone I'll be forced to use for the next 3 or 4 months.

The T5p is a great sounding headphone...but it ain't no Grado.

I had the T5p.2's and they caused me to buy a Schiit Loki. They were crazy bright. But if you like treble...

Hi guys had a laugh this morning as I’m sat here wearing my AK T5P 2nd generation.

I originally purchased them for a friend but he didn’t like them as much as his Grados.

I use them at the weekends while my hyperactive seven year old shouts kicks and punches me while watching his kid’s football stuff on the TV .

I personally don’t think it’s a problem mentioning other brands or posting photos of them on a Grado thread.
After all you got give the little guys a chance you know like Sennheiser and Beyer

I use the T5p with a IFi Go Blu and don’t miss the big rigs much.
Also don’t mind the treatment they receive while wearing them.
It’s funny the kids will watch their stuff loud on the TV yet the minute you put on a Grado and the slightest bit of sound comes out you get I CAN HEAR THAT!

Oh well save the Grados for when there asleep

I have said it before but this is a wonderful thread.
Maybe it’s because I feel the majority are older, wiser and better looking?

I never tried changing the pads on them.
With the help of the Loki EQ, they were perfect for me. Then one day I received a pair of Focal Elex's. Shortly after putting them on, I had to laugh. They were exactly (or very close to) what I had EQ'd the T5p.2's to be. I sold the T5's a week or two later.

And I have not used the Loki much since.

Got my first X series, sr325x , these flats really are excellent pads. The X is far better sounding than my 325e. I love the e and I'm shocked at how much better the X sounds. Putting flats on e doesn't help either.
