Blind-tests have proven again and again that just telling a story about any product (wine, whisky, speakers, cables etc.) will make your brain perceive things differently. That goes for taste, hearing, smell etc. If you believe in (physical) break-in of speakers, it works.
A surprisingly large proportion of people, if blindfolded, struggle to tell tea from coffee. However, tea does taste different to coffee & we have every right (obligation?) to point this out.
Believe in burning in an extension cable if you like & post it here, but don't jump on us that think it is silly.
...on 2nd thoughts, forget it, believe what you want.
I am just saying one more thing about this matter:
There is hardly ever any believer in burn-in trying to convince the non-believers, they might state burn-in works but they are not attacking the people that do not believe in it.
Same thing happens with some argumentative Android users who have to point out why Apple is oh so bad without having been asked about their opinion.
You should ask yourself why it is so important to you to prove the non-existence of burn-in.
Live and let live, don't bother to answer me here, i won't take part in this discussion anymore
I'm not "attacking the people" who believe in burn-in.
I'm attacking the belief in burn-in. There is a big difference.
We are in an open, public "discussion" board. I (you also) do not need to be invited to respond or share our views here. It is implicit.
