I haven't paired them up yet. I tried a few phones and then started tube rolling. For the tube rolling I wanted to stay consistent and stayed with the Clear's.
Then on Friday I got the HD660S2's, was a bit underwhelmed with the Valhalla 2 and hopped around a bit. Currently loving them on the iFi with a touch of bass boost.
Couple of more days with the Senns and then I have to try out my new dongles.
Next week will probably see me back at the Val2 VS LD MK9 competition. Zig zagging even more, the LD MK9 is "tubier", but the Val2 has great clarity.
The GW100x is really, really, REALLY good (both wired and on bluetooth). Not boomy at all (what I was expecting). Soundstage is decent...the highs are not piercing...the mids are typical Grado. It pairs instantly with both my iPhone and my computer. The only negative thing I can think of is that is made out of plastic -- it is not as beautiful as a Grado should be.
Had the same thing happen to my 3000x shortly after receiving. Rich Grado and I communicated and he suggested that it would be easier if he sent me two new gimbals. He said it was easy to handle the repair myself. I didn't know anything about replacing gimbals, but Rich was right and haven't had any problems since. Enjoy your headphones when you get them back!
Agreed. I also feel that GH2 recovers more ambiance, more venue acoustics than does Hemp: due to harder cocobolo wood vs softer compressed hemp (?). For me, TTVJ Deluxe Flats are the pads for GH2.

I'm very impressed. It's there, and it's puchy, but it is not exagerated...just how I like it. I received the headphone today, so I need to let it burn in for a while.
