Any initial impressions? Please tell. Grado fans want to know.I have to say that I was enjoying my Hemp/Dekoni combo today. They are similar to the Beautiful Audio pads and almost as expensive. They are stiffer though.
The subject requires much more investigation.

I found that ‘working’ / ‘kneading’ the cable regularly for a minute or two before listening helped to loosen up the cable. I did this for about a month (on RS-1x). As for the cable weight, I’m with you: not bouncing around / headbanging with RS-1x on.I don’t have that kind of headband issue with Hemp or RS2x. Both are very comfy headphones to me.
BUT. RS2x has that newer cable which really sucks. Where comes an idea to put that kind of cable to any headphone?
I can live with that though, i’m listening music at sofa’s corner. Not walking around.

Man do I Hate their cables! Too stiff and the V is not deep enough. And that is sitting still in my lazy boy. Once you finally get it arranged properly, you don't care take them off. Grrrr.I don’t have that kind of headband issue with Hemp or RS2x. Both are very comfy headphones to me.

Yes, especially because the RS2x is so lightweight.

Grado cables are great quality but I do wish they would at least offer the option of a proper 10' length with 1/4" connector

I agree….at the checkout in ‘4ourears.com’. I cannot help but think that a one-piece 1/4” termination has better sonics than a 1/8” termination into a 1/4” adapter.Grado cables are great quality but I do wish they would at least offer the option of a proper 10' length with 1/4" connector.

If we're talking cable options . . . how about they could offer either a short lightweight cable with a 3.5 plug for portable use or a Big Boi cable with a Phat Plug for use with a desktop rig or for strangling rival gangsters.Grado cables are great quality but I do wish they would at least offer the option of a proper 10' length with 1/4" connector

Or make their own version of Fiio's plug to let you change ends
