It was like an hour away. I tried audeze lcd-2, the RS-2x and GS-1000e, mezes elites, mezes 109, and DCN ether. And THESE were my favorites, couldn't resist buying them. (Funny how $200 headphones can beat out $4000 headphones, huh?)

As a total Grado noob (I've had my SR325x cans for three weeks) I totally agree with you!
A headphone that brings such enormous pleasure from listening to the music will beat those that are instead simply fulfilling a list of audiophile performance criteria.

That is very interesting, I'll mention that the SR325x can be purchased at Amazon in the UK for £245. That is €284 at current exchange rate.
