I did.

Bought 3 Grados within 3 weeks. Even had a tube amp custom made for Grado. April 19th was when all this Grado madness started. RS1X is my favourite, followed by Hemp, followed by 325x. GH1 is the only Grado that I bought used. Perhaps that's the reason it didn't get use as much. Which is a shame because it's another great sounding Grado.

There will be another Grado from the Statement series but I am patient. I'm still burning in my 3 Grados.

It's a fact that I am using my Grados more than Susvara now. Sigh.....

3 Grado in 3 weeks is quite good, but 4 in total could still be bettered
Same here, still burning in some of my Grado headphones.

The t70 was brighter and had less bass than the t5p. To my ears it was not balanced at alll and almost unlistenable

I have the T70p and I like it very much. Not sure how much it sounds different from the T70.
T70p has not much bass, especially for a closed-back headphone, but it has a quite good bass.
I like it as a closed-back alternative to my Grado headphones when I need some isolation.

Here is my example… ZMFs pads transform my Grados into almost an entirely new headphone, even richer, warmer sound with lots of dynamics, thunderous bass and liquid smoothness….but I lose a lot of the trademark sparkly highs and details. It’s annoying because I‘m greedy and want to have both but I can’t and you start feeling like I should be listening to another headphone for that sound rather than ruining the specific reason I bought the Grados to begin with. This is why I always return to the trad pads even if they aren’t as comfy, found this out experimenting with my GS3000x.

It’s like going to a fine seafood restaurant and ordering steak. It’s good but why are you eating here instead of a steak house?
Agreed. I noticed that ZMF pads are the best on GS3000x compared to other Grado models due to G pads that are some sort similar to ZMF Beye pads tuning. On 325x, Hemp, RS-1x the distance is even bigger. I always go back to stock pads.

Part of the RS-1x / GS-1000x difference in presentation perspective (intimate versus panorama) is that of F-cushion / L-cushion versus G-cushion.
:smile_phones: Agree and that was exactly the point, I was trying to express in my previous post

The best part of the day is when you first wake up and you put on your RS1X and power on your tube amp and select 'Morning' by Beck.

The best part is that it gets better with each day you do this because my RS1X is 99% burn in.

Did I just start the burn-in debate again? :relaxed:

Burn-in or not: That is a terrific album - any time of day :sunglasses:

I went back to the stock pads for 325x and realised that this is what I want to hear. :dt880smile: So much details and clarity. So the ZMF pads are going into the box again.

Thank you for being such a generous guinea pig UT, saves me money and wasted time - I'll make it rule 1. Grados should only use the pads they were designed to work with :beerchug:
