Really good but I had a battery drain on both pairs. Buds and case dead in around a weak if sitting. Reported it to them but haven't heard back if this was a widespread issue or not nor if there was a fix or if they looked into it.

You can select single or two driver configuration for the same price…

I think some of the top-tier TWS have definitely made it an interesting discussion now. I brought out my Legend X and EXT to compare against the Pi8. I think if you dont have a reference point. Some of these offerings are end of the line but comparing the 3 IEMs. Its apparent, that TWS is quite a ways, away from TOTL type IEMs. The rest of that equation is up to the user. Cost vs performance ratio. is the 20 to maybe 40% difference in higher end wired offerings worth the splurge in price difference...
If the hifi community embraced TWS fully, the gap would probably shrink. We have Noble and Final and a few others testing the waters and going mid-fi but I wonder how it might look and someone like Noble (or Audeze) attempted to make a TWS out of a true flagship IEM. The headfi community would probably balk at the wireless solution as being inferior but it would be cool to see. It may be the technology limitations mean we can't quite get there yet on TWS whether it be size and space limitations or transmission limitations. For me, something like the Triumph probably delivers 90% of the experience that the best IEM would to me (my ears are old and not very sharp). For those with silver ears maybe 90 becomes 85.

What Noble and Final models are you referring to ?

Just curious, are you comparing IEM’s with compressed audio, or with a hires CD.
My AKG N5005’s hooked to my recently purchased Rotel integrated amp and Rotel CD player, is just easily better than my iPhone with TWS…. Now I’m using AAC, so probably not a fair comparison, but Apple does AAC excellently…

The main problem is service...TWS:s are as of now a disposable product. So there's only so much that you can charge.

I'd happily pay +1k for a pair that's fully serviceable, especially battery replacement.

Something like the ZE 8000 might be the future, where the acoustics (including driver) are housed in the part that's inside the ear and the electronics are housed in the stem. Maybe it's a future design for serviceable TWS?

Until then I think we're stuck at max 449 EUR.

Technology-wise we're definitely getting to the point where you could easily keep a pair of TWS for +5 years without the tech feeling dated.

Nice one, cheers! I'll get it then. S24 BT codecs list is just a joke and LDAC implementation/stability must be in some way degraded on purpose (or bad design)
It's not the phone dude... I use S24 there's nothing wrong with the codecs, it has 5x as many as any iphone and LDAC works just fine

Wanting a pair of tip-less tws I remember using the original airpods for years until they ran out of battery.
Perhaps the Airpods 4 is a good option today, even though I'm on Android..
Anyone tested them?
Airpods will be the best flathead TWS that exists, no competition. They're also the only flathead with ANC
