Have you tried the Rex5 by any chance? If so, could you make some comparisons on sound quality and fit?
So on the flight(s) back from Shanghai’s CanJam back home, I listened to these all the way.
I bought these pair (new, not demo units) from John at the end of the show.
I haven’t done much comparisons with TWS…have the Fostex TM2 from 5 yrs back, and last year picked up the JLabs work buds (dunno if it’s TWS? But I use that for its boom mike for work).
The Amadeus sounded great thoughout the whole trip!!

Did you see this video? Says the Rex 5 sounds better and the Amadeus fits a little better.Have you tried the Rex5 by any chance? If so, could you make some comparisons on sound quality and fit?
I believe this comparison just have no sense. Absolutely different configuration and price. How to compare Rivian and Mini Cooper?Have you tried the Rex5 by any chance? If so, could you make some comparisons on sound quality and fit?
Ok maybe for the sound quality. Not for the comfort. Also because it's hard to have a Rivian in your earsI believe this comparison just have no sense. Absolutely different configuration and price. How to compare Rivian and Mini Cooper?

I have not been 100% following, but assume is this another fit issue with the REX?Eh not a fan of returning something like that. I bought em, used em. Feel a little crappy about that. Not like eartips can be restocked. Do they make something thinner but similar?
I have the complete AZLA range but all are L=14mm as I have larger canals and depending on the earbuds I could do with larger, it can be to do with not just the depth of nozzle but angle, and even body temp as sometimes I have better passive seal than other on same earbuds with same ear tips.
Spinfit are ok but they are not consistent with their some models are L some are XL (or at least the older ones) and I find they are a touch smaller than I ideally need.
Not sure how the Penon Liqueur would go with the REX, you can buy them in kits of 3 cheap on AliExpress and cut the nozzle on them to test short vs long.

They are earphones. TWS earphones from the same company. We have a known and a new comparing to see how it fits in. Absolutely valid comparison but we already know the Amadeus won't be as good. No company is gonna release a product that sounds as good better for $129 less within a calendar year. We would like to see how close and perhaps judge the value proposition. Maybe I am a little older but we used to get articles all about a brands whole range of a type product comparing what you get from the budget model through the top of the line so you know more about what you get or don't get at each level.I believe this comparison just have no sense. Absolutely different configuration and price. How to compare Rivian and Mini Cooper?
He does kinda lose me when he calls the Amadeus a 3 driver. And comparing cases no mention of tips fitting in the case where I am thinking perhaps the Amadeus might do better with accepting other tips. Know the products a bit better if you are a dealer. Of course you don't mention battery life which also may be of interest to a TWS shopper.

To clarify
These were purchased from the dealer that attended the show. These were not gifted anything AnakChan has to say about them... I have no input on. It was a rushed purchase, every one was packing up, I guess he wanted a set for the trip home.
Regardless, thanks for the purchase.

I didn't and I kinda regret it! Only after flying back home did I do some research and reading about the Rex5. TBH, I walked into the show blind. So kudos to @FullCircle on the exhibit display layout as from an advertising perspective, it worked (on me at least!)Have you tried the Rex5 by any chance? I didn't even try any other TWSes at the show. So, sorry no comparisons I can make. I can of course compare with my JLabs Work Buds but the name says it all, they're earbuds for work - it has a boom mike attachment for that earbud even. So I wouldn't say it's a worthy comparison.

Possibly your little mini violin (or was it a cello?) prop next to the Amadeus worked in attracting my attention.

Yep! At full RRP too!! No discounts. I thought I'd dipped my toes into the current TWSes a little with this purchase, but as mentioned above, I went in completely blind without doing any research before hand. As such, didn't even know about the Rex5 as the current TotL.
Yes no "suggestive sales" tactics used.
1 question:
What is difference between the Triumph & Amadaeus?
That was all that was discussed.

Well, what is the difference?
The Amadeus gets louder than the Triumph.
Obviously their are other objective differences as well
1) internals are different
2) charge case is different
3) charge case for the Triumph requires an extended USB male plug
4) charge case for the Amadeus can use a standard usb
5) colors are different
Sound is subjective so rather than open that can or worms, I'll stay within the confines of objective differences.

Ok so my Amadeus arrived today and I previously owned the Rex 5.........
I have been on what feels like a never ending cycle of finding the right TWS for my preferences, I'm not massively worried about ANC as I have found those that have powerful ANC achieve this by sacrificing sound quality...just my opinion.
Ever since selling the Rex 5 I've had a little sellers remorse, I've tried about 5 different pairs since and no pair came close to the Rex 5 for sound quality (pi8 was the closest), the thing that let the Rex 5 down for me was fit, sat still they were great but out about and the left earbud would always work it's way loose.
So when the Amadeus was announced at nearly 1/2 the price I knew I was always gonna give these a try......Sound wise to my ears they get close to the Rex 5, I cannot do a side by side but from memory and first listen of these they are close, they get loud too which I like as some just do not get loud enough, I seem to get better results equalising these also to my preference....I do think these respond better than anything else that I've tried.
The fit.....I'm definitely feeling that these are more secure in my ears, after a lengthy walk I did not feel the need to resecure them once which was the only reason I sold the Rex 5.
So my TWS search is paused for now.....never say never but these tick all the boxes for me and alongside my Ifi go pod airs I'm quite a content little soul.......Until the next time!
