I'm getting very confused by Soundpeats.

He says these are the latest flagship from them, but in terms of drivers used and price, surely their Capsule 3 pro+ is their flagship?

The other thing that's confusing me is their price for specs. They seem very cheap for the excellent specs. The Capsule 3 pro +, for example, really does tick all my boxes on specs. All reviews suggest that battery life is their only weak point, and that's not a deal breaker at all for my particular use case.

I suppose the only way I'm going to find out if they really are too good to be true for the price is by using them. My Capsule 3 Pro + should arrive in the next couple of days, so we'll see.

Air 5 Pro is newest model not the flagship, you are correct.
Air 5 Pro+ will be the flagship if they come out.

Very interested in those.

The only actual Flagships they have ever done were the H1, Opera03/05 and new H3, his reviews are kind of lacking TBH.

They are said to have the best ANC for any of their earbuds and they probably have the same chipset as the H3 but may seal better and they do indeed have great ANC (I can confirm but passive is not great)

As I said previously there is supposedly a Air5 Pro+ (Plus) with xMEM coming later in the year.

What would the Air 5 Pro+ have over the Capsule 3 Pro+ ?

More BT codecs?
Better ANC?

That's just a take away from that video on the Air 5 Pro.

Btw, since I pulled the trigger very rapidly on the Capsule 3 Pro +, I thought I better watch a few YouTube reviews.

The first three I watched all contradicted each other, lol.

So like everything else, I'll let my ears decide once I've got them.

Kinda but the problem is the shallow fit which doesn't help buds like the jbl tour pro 3
I had the AKG N5 Hybrids and they are the same style as those and no ear tips got me to pass the built in seal test other than the largest of the included ear tips and my Azla SednaEarfit Crystal for TWS (not the standard model).

I had a really good passive seal, the ANC was really good and they did not move even though they were very shallow fitting, they were solid to touch they do not seem to suit deeper ear tips.

I find it quite sad that you rarely see a negative youtube review of any audio product these days.

Not saying they are no good, btw, just that I take every review with a large pinch of salt.

Edit: meant to reply to the post with the video review in.

That is indeed/sadly the current state of reviews, not only on YT imo. Bought 4 mid-tier Hi-Fi (not Head-Fi) products in recent weeks, of which I had to return 3 simply because of obvious shortcomings that were not mentioned in the (hundreds of) reviews I read/viewed. Even worse: the use of ambiguous language to mask certain flaws. Guess likes & subscriptions are more important for many reviewers.

Wow --- didn't think they could ruin the Senn MTW4 any further but they seem to have managed it
AptX Lossless is even more glitchy and unstable on the 5.x.x firmware
Even with phone within 30cm of the buds the sound is completely broken up and distorted.
What's even worse is that the buds keep auto-readjusting back to lossless from adaptive rendering them now completely useless to me.

Avoid the update or maybe they'll need a factory reset after to work adequately

@helmutcheese
If soundpeats can fix the battery issues with the 5 Pro+ they'll have a winner --- the capsule sounded great but the battery was a weak point
