So I've been singing the praises of the Svanar for a couple of weeks. Well, using LDAC on my new pixel fold is a disaster. It will not work at all at 990. Cuts in an out the whole time. At 660 it's better but still significant cuts outs. Adaptive rate is ok but who wants that. Damn. I'm going to reach out to bloom to discuss.

Update - I was able to get a stable connection at 990. I had to leave my garage and go inside. Once inside it became stable then I went back to the garage and it worked fine. Strange. Sorry for the alarm bells.
So what I have found, is sometimes at first it will cutout and then the once it stabilizes it is good. Example, I change environments it will cutout, but it doesn't do it very long.

Yeah that seems to describe what happened to me. Sound damn good though.
They do. Try maxing the map and avcrp options in developer mode and see if it helps

How would people compare Solitaire T, Bathys or B&W PX8 to best TWS IEMs? I would be especially interested in Hifiman Svanar wireless.

Well more testing with LDAC on the FW3 and the half baked comment is accurate for flakiness. They sound really good when they work, but I had issues with not connecting, weird noise issues (stop music and restart music and issue was gone) plus the occasional stutter.

So even though I only have APTx I have switched to that to see if it's more stable.

The default signature is a bit warmer than I like so I will play with EQ and see what I can tweak.

Definitely miss having ANC but also like the open sound quality as well. So more a trade off than anything.
AptX is stable for me on my FW3, LDAC consumes too much battery and decreases bluetooth distance in most of my LDAC capable devices, not worth the trade off in my use cases.

I sold my Bathys because the Svanar pretty much replace them. The PX8 is solid too. I'd say full size cans still best any IEM (wireless or not) but Svanar sound sound good and the form factor and convenience is so much better than full sized cans that I really don't need both. My next cans will probably be wired and open back for desk use. The Bathys and PX8 are both excellent in their own right but the gap is really small with the Svanar.

As someone wrote earlier, it is a bummer that Samsung can't (read: won't) support more bluetooth codecs than they do.

I'm planning on buying a new phone that has a good camera, and living in Europe... S23 Ultra is where I mostly land there, but the lack of anything but AptX and LDAC is really giving me pause here, and I'm looking over in the direction of Oppo Find X6 Pro or Vivo S90 Pro+, or even the Sony Xperia 1 V, but they all have something that I don't like... Oppo and Vivo has chinese software which is often broken notifications and random chinese notifications every now and then... It's not horrible but also not great, I think Oppo is better in regards to that, though.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra/Pro would also be interesting but it lacks displayport out in their USB-C ports which means no support for AR Glasses and similar things which I'm looking to try right now.

Sony... well, honestly on paper a pretty solid phone... camera seems improved, it supports the latest codecs for the most part, but they have snail-paced slow charging, their android-skin honestly looks super dated, the design has been the exact same (dull as can be) for 5 generations almost, and the camera seems good, but below the others unless you are really looking for more manual control with your photography, which I don't really care too much about - I just want a good snap-and-shoot camera. The Sony is also hella overpriced.

Also same goes for Pixel, it's a real shame there as well that they're lacking in the codec support department.

I had the same problem. I bought the Nuratrue pro a little while ago after reading some reviews and people's opinions on here and absolutely love them, even without trying them with Aptx Lossless.

I looked at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Sony 1 V and the galaxy S23 Ultra. I ended up with the Samsung as other than Bluetooth codecs it had everything else I wanted. I found LDAC on my Pixel 6 Pro hit and miss and could rarely use my WF1000-XM4's at 990 because of cutouts. On the Samsung LDAC 990 works no problems.

As for the Nuras, I purchased the Nura dongle too and they work fine and sound awesome with just Aptx Adaptive to me. And if I want to go wired I use my Hiby FC3.

I miss LG in this regard as I really did like their phones.

ZenFone 10? Not the best cameras tho but I love everything else with my Z10!

Lovely compact phone with flagship specs! The plastic backside combined with the small format makes it possible to use it without a case, which is really something I've missed.

It also sports all qualcomm codecs :)

Noticed that you also live in Sweden, managed to buy my ZenFone 10 (256 gb) for 6400 SEK (discount code and selling the pre order bonus).

Yeah, unfortunately Zenfone 10 misses the mark on why I would be getting a new phone most of all. No telephoto zoom means it's dead on arrival for me. Currently have the Motorola razr 40 ultra which I have to say is already a compact phone.

But the camera quality is potato if you zoom in anything further than 2x basically... Sure, the Zenfone 10 might be better because of that higher megapixel count, but yeah. If it had a Periscope zoom camera I'd buy it in a heartbeat, because I do love my compact flagships.

Been looking a for a good rock EQ for the Hifidots. Found the one

Just used this….thank you! Love my Hifidots! Need more recognition IMO.
Btw, I find the stock tips don’t fit very well, do you recommend a replacement for these? Do the my accept a universal tip? I’ve never replaced any IEMs with aftermarket’s so I wasn’t sure what all would fit properly with these. Thanks.
