i liked the aviators, i think 100$ would be a better deal though since M50s still smoke them at their selling price, also you can get better sounding IEMS for that price.

Considering you call yourself a metal head, which I have been since 1982, and considering so much of the mainstream see us in a very negative light you really should know better then to judge and slam on another scene. I've chatted with you enough in the past bcasey25raptor to know you're a fairly intelligent person you know better then to be making comments like the ones above.

Fair enough. I respect the music and the sub genres they were in but there still is better grunge then nirvana regardless of how important they were. Nothing will change the fact that these bands from the past weren't necessarily the best of their genre they were just the most famous.

It's not like he's quite possibly the greatest athlete alive at the moment. 6'8'' with unheard of athleticism is no big deal. It's also not like he has a 40 inch vertical and he is inhumanly strong. I don't think smoking pot or drinking [occasionally] has a huge affect on one's mental capacity. There are plenty of people who do both that I would say are pretty damn smart. Just because stupidity is associated with doing both of those things doesn't mean there aren't intellects that like to partake in those activities once in awhile...

Drinking under the age of 26 will have an effect on mental capacity. Pot, not as much. Although.. I do know one kid who has short term memory loss from all the pot he has smoked. Moreover, the point I was trying to make was more-so decision making

Particularly regarding the Beatles, most people who rate them highly do so on the strength of their impact, not the merit of their individual songs.  After all, they had their own influences. They may not have been that great musically, but they were great in their influence on those who came afterward.
 
It's not a perfect analogy because the Beatles didn't invent rock 'n roll, but to say they were overrated is almost like saying Edison was overrated because his light bulb had an ugly color of light, it was noisy and it didn't last very long.  It's kind of missing the point.
 

Right... Edison was overrated because most of his great ideas were stolen from Nikola Tesla. 
 
I admit I like the Beatles. But they are certainly not the best, but they are far from being the worst. And they did have a significant impact on the industry.
 
And I agree with DigitalFreak. A lot of people seem to forget the true origins of music. Rock didn't just appear. Jazz and blues came before it. Rock especially pulls from the Blues.

I think you can grab Aviators for a little under that if you have the right strings to pull. Otherwise, there are plenty of other cans in that range that all hold their own. Though honestly, I think Skullcandy actually made something worth buying because it's backed up with a lifetime warranty. Means if a driver blows, you get a new one at no charge. Otherwise, I rescind my earlier statement about what I would do with the money. I'd get some Alessandro MS2's.

Right. Most great inventive minds, like Tesla, suck at developing their ideas or being able to move them out of their labs. An idea is worthless if it can't be made practical. That's what people like Edison and Ford did when other, greater minds couldn't. Everyone remembers Alexander Bell, but nobody remembers the name of the guy who really invented the telephone.  You'd be surprised at how many people think Henry Ford invented the automobile.  Perhaps Ford would have been a better analogy. Like the Beatles, he didn't invent his product and his car wasn't even the best, but his influence was enormous and it is stupid to compare the Model T to a modern sedan.
 
The Beatles didn't invent pop or rock. But few people remember the names of the Blues players they drew from, or who inspired those who inspired the Beatles.
 
I's just a dumb argument to underrate a group who was a pioneer of a genre by comparing them to those who came afterward.  Bands like the Beatles, The Stones & The Who deserve more credit than what can be derived from their own music.  They deserve a little credit from virtually all the newer bands.  The old Bluesmen, as well as their African progenitors, on whom they drew, deserve even more, but they'll never get it.

I have the Aviators, and for a portable headphone, I think they are wonderful. Sound wise I think they're worth $100-$125, but given how they sound, with how they look(I love it, obviously), I thought they were worth the $150 I spent on them.

I'm not complaining, if truth be known I'm quite enjoying reading some of the posts from various users on here. Rather interesting in my mind how this thread can go off on a tangent and come right back to the original topic without missing a beat. Doesn't change the fact he looks dumb. But i don't watch/care for sports. 100% of the endorsees for beats i don't know or could care less about.

I understand you're never taken a bad picture. I applaud you for that. I think the part the people in question care about is the fact that he makes other people look dumb on a basketball court.
