$800 was for the single ended 16-strand Axios copper cable in a 5 foot length. I thought about getting the balanced 4 pin XLR, but the single-ended adapter was like another $400 or something like that. I don't have any balanced amps.

Yeah, I don't even know how much a 4m Axios would cost. If we just did the math off the price per meter of the cable I got quoted for, it puts you at $2100.

$1260 is the price of a 4 Meter Axios for the cable in single ended format.

"Real estate? What's the point? You can only live in one house at a time."
- What you say when she points out that you can only listen to one HiFi system at a time.

Hey she’s Chinese and from very near Shanghai. My wife is all about the money.

Thanks for the info, not as bad as I thought it would be. Are there different versions of the Axios (silver, copper, different strand count, etc.)?
Few different versions, they have the 8 strand instead of the 16 strand. They have the standard copper, the copper silver hybrid, and the pure silver version. Each one of those can come in the the 16 or 8 strand. And you also have the option on the amp side to got dual connectors.

The letter F fell off the side of the cup, and my right driver started sounding a little off to me during kick drums and stuff.
I must have missed that post because I wasn't aware.

I'm pretty much waiting for the UPS truck today like a dog waiting for his owner.
I already received the Wireworld 5' XLR Nano Platinum Eclipse, so I'm ready to go!

I actually never said anything on here about my letter "F" falling off. I kept it pretty discreet.
Good luck with your headphone. I'm sure you are gonna enjoy it.

Thank you, looking forward to tonight.
I see. I do the same myself, this way people aren't running scared, because as I mentioned before, it can happen with anything.
100% I agree it could've been anything. I wouldn't want to ruin someone else's experience because a letter fell of the tag, but, it's annoying because of the value of the product and sht happens all the time lol.

Looking for a little cable help (sorry if this has already been answered, long thread we got here.) I just got a pair of Utopia's and I'm loving them but not the cable. Looking for some advice on a new cable - something shorter and lighter weight. I'm not one for paying tons of money on cables - not a big believer in that. So just looking for something lighter and more ergonomic that will carry electrical signal to my cans :)

Anyone have advice?

Make your own. I've made everything from simple 2 wires per channel cables to 8 wires per channel. I even showed my 16 strand branded cable to the braiding guy from Axios, and he was impressed. That cable was a serious project! As stated earlier, you might have to listen to the same 1 minute of song a hundred times to tell the difference, and even then, any difference will likely be minimal.

You might do fine if you simply shorten your stock cable. It will get lighter by the exact percentage of cable you chop off! :) Terminating it either XLR or TRS isn't hard, if you know how to solder. Alternatively, building your own simple, lightweight cable would cost $25-$100 depending on materials. Of course you can spend way more with expensive wire, sleeving, an/or plugs.

Aesthetics can also play a part in your decision. Cable noise (sometime called microphonics) can also play a part. It all depends on how you listen and what you want.

I've added Arnaldo's fine list, plus a few more, to the first post. If there are any other's, PM me and I will add it.
