I've been following the thread for sometime now and have knowledge of which cables are popular with the Utopia.
I had a credit with The Cable Company, so I used it to purchase a 5' XLR Wireworld Nano Platinum Eclipse (Utopia will be here tomorrow.)

I don't recall ever reading anyone using this cable, so my question is, does anyone use this cable or heard this cable with their Utopia?
I'll only have the opportunity to compare the SE stock cable to my XLR Wireworld and hope to hear an improvement, so I'm just curious.

First minutes of listening and I am comparing them with the Clear using my trusty set of songs.

I must say, I am happy that I got the original long a** cable that was shipped with the Utopia (I believe Focal ships the Utopia's now with shorter cables). The extra length does come in handy sometimes.

+1 I made my own cable so I could afford 10-11' length. That extra length gives me a bit more freedom...

Well, I just got a replacement Utopia that came to America Feb 28 of this year, so it's a new batch. The cable seems to be the same length as the first pair.

Do the Utopia need a break-in period? What I am hearing at the moment (first 5 hours) is some distortion and a congested sound.
At the moment the Clear sound more airy, clean and precise.
I truly hope this is only break-in...

Recommended 300 hours for the Utopia to truly sing.

The thing is, the distortion and sense of congestion is significant, I would be surprised if after 300h this would be gone.
I mean, the sound is really off!

There must be something wrong, I just opened up a new pair this past Friday, and they sounded awesome from the start. Zero distortion.
