I've been following this thread mainly through email subscription. So I would not have known about the new cables otherwise. I'm always on the lookout for good cables at prices I can handle. You may have a customer if you ship to MN.

I guess it was an ad but I'm interested and I wonder if other, less vocal posters were too. It was a short post and people are always asking about cables anyway.

In other words, it didn't bother me. Just speaking for myself obviously.

Yes, I think the red on black looks pretty sharp, reminds me of the old saying here in the South, red touches black, friend of Jack, red touches yellow, kill a fellow (regarding corn or coral snakes). Never know what you’ll learn on Head Fi!

I heard it might be a little different from the regular Clear pad.

Maybe I will consider trying the red pads from the Focal Clear Pro because I think it looks kinda cool. Not sure if it will sound good though.

Hahahahaha I think you misunderstood. It’s the un-named (headfi rule) Focal Headphone that uses a Clear looking pad.

Any impression with respect to the stock cable? I guess there is the balanced element so it might be hard to say...

I typically make my own balanced cables from stock replacement cables (and keep the original as reference) but I have been on the fence about using other cables since Utopia original cables seems so expensive at 1K...
