Focal Elear - Impressions Thread

Thanks, but I guess there is more to it than this.
The referred 2,5 to 3,5mm adapter also need to fit the Elear 'pocket' in the can housing, so this adds complexity and uncertainty to the issue:

This is true. I have planned to DIY a short cable and already aware about this issue, yet still bought a 3.5mm plug a little bit thicker than that hole at Elear side. Lucky I found a 3.5mm TRRS plug fits into the hole nicely. But need to solder all the unwanted pin to ground leaving the tip to signal only.

I can appreciate your efforts on this one.
For me a DIY solution is out of the question, even though I am able to overcome the challenges of making one.
I don't want to put winter tyres on my Ferrari, however I realize that a customized aftermarket one will be costly.

After reading a massive amount of posts it still remain unclear to me which aftermarket balanced cable with 4-pin male XLR and 2x 3.5mm TS male jack that fits the Elear 'PlugNPlay', meaning no DIY work or adapter involved and no fitting issues on the house-connector side, whatsoever.
It is a bit tiresome to spend such amount of time on getting this right!
At least Focal could make or standardize on a Lemo adapter that fits a stock type cable :frowning2:
What I am looking for is a 'one-click order' and no messing around anymore with this issue.

Anything using the Eidolic E3.5GT1 from what I can tell. Not aware of any other connectors that "should" fit the Elear without modification.

Great!

From this picture it says that this connector fits both the Elear and the Beyer:

Which again make me conclude that this cable will fit:

Has anyone tried this cable with their Elear with any luck?

Sigh, purchased my Focal Elear from NewEgg and they just cancelled my order after 5 days of idling -___-

Anyone know a good trustable online retailer that I can get a pair of the Focal Elears from?

Seems like every store is out of stock...

Newegg isn't an authorized dealer. So you're lucky they didn't have them to sell to you. The Source AV is an authorized and does have them

Do you mind pming me the steps to making a purchase?

I took a look at your website and it looks like there's no payment portal or anything so I assume I have to provide my CC over the phone or email.

Unfortunately I live in MA so traveling to the store is pretty much not an option here.

Do you guys accept paypal?

I guess I am not comfortable providing my CC over the email or over the phone.

Let me know what the best option is, just trying to get a pair here :S

IMHO, you assume more risk giving your CC to a waiter at a restaurant, which people do all the time.

Regardless, it's easier to just assume your CC will be compromised at some time in the future.  It happens to everyone eventually, and it's easy to recover from.

Actually we prefer our customers use PayPal over providing cc info over the phone or email. We'd much prefer your cc info remains protected.

That's true I guess i am just being paranoid :S

Though I prefer Paypal still.. So even if I get screwed over at least I have some kind of option to save myself.

We've had people insist on doing over the phone but we don't feel it's safe. Being that PayPal is a secured website we feel it's a safer transaction. Our E commerce site is about to go live and it uses PayPal as a secured method of processing your payments.
