Hi! I feel supported here :)
Honestly ive tried the gemini and dont like them that much, all i want is vocals i then the rest follows.

I might settle on pp8 but maybe there is a different iem better than pp8, neutral and somehow realistic timber or presentation.

The reason why I want a warmer signature its because most warm iems have smooth presentation but overall yes reference is my type focused on vocals.

Sub bass is not really needed as I can deal with it on an average level but warm sounding for sould rnb a plus for me so im thorned at the moment.

But if you think that the pp8 is best for me.. Well that will be my end game iem though im confused as other refer me to warbler prelude which i might like but definitely not as it is a ciem.

I thought choosing ue 18 pro + is somehow better but maybe I will just stick to pp8 then, also im a frustrated singer and most of my genre are for solo like whitney houston, eric clapton, louis armstrong and etc.

P. S i havent tried the ue 18 pro plus yet.

Thanks!

I agree with the other guys; the UE18+ sounds perfect for your preferences. My main problem with the VE5 is that it sounds absolutely brilliant with vocals and genres like jazz, but it struggles against mostly everything else. It's definitely not an all-rounder, so if you have a varied library, the UE18+ is the better bet. Plus, VE does not typically make universals, so it might not be for you.

Yes, that was my impression of the VE5 as well, very specialist and probably better as a compliment to another more versatile set of IEMs. UE18+ were definitely more versatile and I also adored vocals on those. *sigh* Memories of a wonderful demo... :D

@PinkyPowers Are your plussound cables custom made or do you use them with switched channels?

lol. That picture was taken before someone told me plusSound makes their cables in exactly the opposite way as one might expect them to. I mean, what company puts the logo facing inward, where no one will see it? And puts a screw facing outward, where everyone will see it?

I use them correctly now.

"You could be forgiven for thinking Fourté is ugly. It looks particularly bad in the photos. In person, I find it less offensive."
LOL

Really nice review, I enjoyed reading it.. thnx!
But now I'm back at square 1 with the U18t vs Fourté battle for my money! :)

I have no way of listening to the Fourté before Black Friday, and 20% is a very tempting discount..

Hi! Just one more question and I want to say thanks to everyone for your help and quick response but,

Whats the difference of ue 18 pro plus and the 64audio u12?

Ive checked the review of the u12 and its says there that it is silky smooth and thinking that might be good for long listening sessions.

Whats the difference/comparison?

Thanks again!

I still haven't had the opportunity to hear the U12, but I have been very interested in them for some time. What I can say is that the brief demo I had of the UE18+ Pro clearly showed they were "silky smooth" and you can listen to them for days without any fatigue.

The U12, from what I have read, will have a much more powerful bass, both in depth and quantity, and especially with the M20 module will be very warm and lush, definitely not flat. Was it Pinky's review you read? If not, highly recommended reading: http://theheadphonelist.com/what-shadow-lies-beneath-the-bright-gleam-a-review-of-the-64audio-u12/

Like @Wyville said, the U12 has a rumblier and weightier low-end, especially in the sub-bass. It's midrange timbre is also brighter, adding more clarity to vocals. The UE18+ has the more accurate tone, and the more linear treble too. The U12 - though attenuated up-top - is sparklier than the UE18+ in the upper-midrange, making it more fun than natural.

Hi!

Thanks for your help guys, really appreciate it.

At the moment I am down at 2 IEMS, UE 18 Pro+ and the Prophile 8.

I wonder if the Prophile 8 will be included in top 10 or 20 atleast?
No review for the Inear Prophile 8 in THL but I hope it will be included in the best IEM list.

Thanks!
