I think the U8’s sense of body came mostly from its mid-bass. The U6 would still have more lower-mid emphasis. The last time I tried the U12 is too far for me to remember, so I can’t really say.

Because of the sheer number of premiums my Layla had (4-pin connectors, 12 drivers, carbon fibre faceplates, twice the colours of artwork), I had to pay S$890; approx. US$600. In my personal opinion, if you’re gonna reshell a product that has technology like TIA and the company offers a reshell service themselves, you might as well use that option. Apart from the guarantee that the technologies will function as per their highest standards, you won’t be risking warranty either. Then, if you do choose to reshell an IEM like the Layla, you’d contact Naga. But of course, it’s your choice.

u6 it is! thanks for the info as always

I demoed the A6t today, and I have to say, it sounds similar to the A12t when I plug the apex hole. I also demoed the U18t and I have to admit, it's kind of what I've been doing with my EQ's, that is to say, it's kind of what I want at the moment, though a little brighter than I expected. I ordered a reshell for my A12t from Naga. The managers of the store I went to were like "goddamn it pithy, you dumbass, why you sand your iems?" and I'm like "oh, its cause i'm a dumbass, thats why"

Does the A6t still keep a wider soundstage with the M15 module? And sounds like it's bassy if you're comparing to the 12t

I tested with an m20 and only for a few minutes tbh. bear in mind, since my a12t has been destroyed by my hand, the bass and subbass presentation has been lost. think of my impressions of the a12t as having the mids and treble of the a12t but the bass and subbass of the a18t.

The lower mids to treble presentation on the A6t that I demoed reminded me a lot of my A12t with a plug in the apex module. bass and subbass were a little tougher to say due to multiple factors such as the level of isolation I was getting and the loud ambient noise of my listening environment yesterday.

Anybody here know of items under £450 that would be great for black/death and doom metal? Many thanks

Thanks
Those fibae 2 were ones I wasn't considering but I had not read about the blacks. The other ones I was considering were periodic be and Fiio fh5.

I haven't heard the Periodic and FiiO IEMs yet. I'm sure there are tons of universals other than the ones I mentioned that others here can recommend you.

dammit i was too slow! the U6es are sold. :/

@Deezel177 @Wyville @twister6 here are the still avaliable options:

1) U12 adel or JHA Performance Roxanne - same price (@890usd roughly), Roxanne’s fit is a concern for me, as well as the fact that none of the cables on hand would be compatible.

2) U10 adel or JHA Diana (@642usd) - again, same price both pre owned.

any suggestions for the lower mids inclined? the old 64 audio cant be auditioned.

much thx

I think you'll really love the Diana for lower-mids.

Ahhh... Shame! I haven't heard any of these ones, although they all seem like really interesting options.
