After getting Orpheus to pair with my FS, I think I can retire from the IEM hobby.

Congrats!

So... what are you gonna buy next?

I'm on my 3rd or 4th endgame setup with another one arriving this week 🤪

I honestly don’t know. Will probably just chill for a while till LP7 launches late 2022.

Edit: oh yes, there’s the rumored UM Mentor FS on the way too. :)

As controversial as it may be…..Speaking of $15,000 set ups, I have to say the 7hz Timless at $200 with a $20 cable is quite remarkable and if I hadn’t already followed the white rabbit down the endless abyss I would’ve full stopped here! 🤷🏼‍♂️

With the options we have today, even 70-80% of the performance of $10K+ summit-fi setups can be remarkably good, and taken on their own terms, likely 'good enough' even for serious enthusiasts. That you can hit that level of performance for 10% or less of the price is testament to the maturity of the industry on the one hand, but also the distorted exponential pricing at the summit.

About Indigo, is it worth to add to collection after having Trailli and Mason FS ? Last time when i about to buy Indigo or 1266, im going to 1266 because i thought im already having Trailli and Mason Fs, its redundant to add Indigo to my collection.

Now the more and more people getting Indigo make me feels FOMO.. :weary::weary:
I would go 1266, but the cost of the headphone will only be about 25-33% of your desktop set up. So, be prepared.

Indigo is special. I haven't heard Mason FS yet, so I don't know if there is any overlap. But 1266 will definitely be different and it is special too.

This for me is why I switched to IEMs. Didn't help that I lost patience with bulky desktop sources, and always having to worry about stuff like USB cable noise and 'audiophile clean' power. And interconnects. And input types. And DDCs.

I mostly just enjoy the headphones. Speaking of which, there are a handful of high-end headphones that appear to be just as comfortable on portable sources as they are on desktop stacks...

Ehhh 1266TC is straight up incredible with something like an RME and a GSX Mini. It feels like a really outdated myth that you need an expensive amp for them, I barely got any improvement going to the MHA150 from the GSX, if at all

Thats why between Susv and 1266TC, im choosing 1266TC lets just hope TT2 can drive it properly :fingers_crossed::fingers_crossed:..

Yeah, but many 1266 owners also have Susvara because they are complimentary headphones. If that is part of your end game, then you need to design a system that can handle all of your amping needs.

I went Susvara first because I went down the Hifiman rabbit hole.

TT2 can drive Susvara properly, so it should drive 1266 fine. But to me, a tube amp adds so much more to the sound that it worth adding it to your system. Then, you may want to consider adding an Mscaler and a streamer and you are right at the budget target I mentioned earlier. If you don't get there now, you probably will later.

Im already having Mscaler, but not think to get streamer, my main listening is streaming with apple music. Lets just hope someday any streamer will support apple music.

Im afraid to go into tube rabbit hole, interconnect cable ( still pending to get Wave Storm Cable because im already using 12V battery for Mscaler and TT2 ), my waiting list for 2022 are like @bluestorm1992, saving for R2R dap ( LP7 ) and UM Mentor FS.

Then what are you waiting for? Buy the 1266. You can also buy the Susvara as your TT2 will drive it fine.
