How's the quality of the bass on Honeydew compared with IE900 @mashuto? I know Honeydew, like Atlas, has insane amount but curious how're the texture and definition on them

u12t for me, although I still think it’s really good.
Same and same…in terms of my personal listening preferences the u12t and IER M9 were two of the most underwhelming TOTL listening experiences I've had...but I wouldn't say they're bad, only that it seems to me they were more designed as tools to analyze music than as a means of purely enjoying it...and the latter is 100% what I'm personally after. That said I can say that, on their own terms, they are great IEMs...they'll just never make my personal top 10 or list of "price bracket defining IEMs". As with everything here, YMMV.
Edit: And since I'm on the topic, my votes (based on what I've heard) for "kings of their respective tiers":
<$1K -> Isabellae, Bravado MKii
$1K -2K -> Andro, Dorado, Solaris, Z1R, OG MEST...I would tentatively place the Mirai Spark here too
$2K - 3K -> Elysium
I have not heard anything more $$ than 3K.

Quality is likely about what you would expect from a 250 dollar iem vs a 1300 dollar iem.How's the quality of the bass on Honeydew compared with IE900 @mashuto? I know Honeydew, like Atlas, has insane amount but curious how're the texture and definition on them
Texture and definition are fine on the honeydew. But not as tight or fast as you might find on the ie900. Which in some ways and genres might be preferable. But it's really all about quantity.
Strangely I find myself enjoying some of my less pricier IEMs more , because I don't expect them to perform at a high level so I don't listen critically. Plus I like rooting for the underdog. LolQuality is likely about what you would expect from a 250 dollar iem vs a 1300 dollar iem.

UPS showed up real early today.
Had a little trouble getting it seated properly, and it didn't even connect first try.
Predictably it sounds great. But... So did the previous boards I had. And it's gonna be a struggle for me to even try to tell differences apart. Let alone do any kind of remotely proper a/b on them.

X-post from the N6ii thread, for the comparison between R01 and P6 Pro.
Listen to some tracks with both vocal and guitar, and share some quick impressions.
Long story short: if you have not tried R2R before, please do go ahead. R01 and P6 Pro are different (I think P6 Pro is still better), but R01 is becoming quite close. Previously, P6 Pro destroyed N6ii’s other motherboards like E02. With R01, I will need to do some A/B.
The major differences are still there, some from tuning and some from the technical side. P6 Pro is more dark and R01 is more neutral. Bass head will prefer P6 Pro a lot; the bass is more impactful. Technically, P6 Pro has better details, transparency, and a slightly better soundstage (both are quite intimate though).
Overall, P6 Pro is better at conveying the emotion and R01 is less impactful yet more balanced. Still, I want to say that it is unbelievable what Cayin is able to achieve with R01. $600 (or $1800 for the Ti version) vs. $3800.

Well I couldn't say this better so...
R01 uses ultra precision thin film resistors with low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), 96 in total for both channels. These are ultra high precision, down to 0.01% (1/10,000).
And typically these type of resistors do tend to change, even very slightly, with age/burn-in. I don't have R01 with me yet, but from the experience of P6 Pro, the sound did change after about a week of burn in.

Look forward to your thoughts! A friend tried these (based in malaysia) and he wasn't really impressed.
