TLDR: I found it incredibly warm-sounding, rich and bass-driven. It had admirable spatial performance for its warmth, but it was quite warm nonetheless.
Quick question : is there any other option than Campfire Equinox for a good mono dynamic driver CIEM?
Those are so few... As much as I love multi BA setup there is something about DD that I can't really get from BAs and also there is something about mono drivers...
So for the mid term future I'd love to have options... If ony JVC would build a custom FW10000
In the meantime I am rocking the Phantom on DX220/AMP9 with Hulk, Grant Green "Idle moments" has me drifting in a daydream mode...
Of course, there's also Rhapsodio who specialise in customs and DDs. Their flagship Eden CIEM even comes in a sterling silver shell. But, the Eden in particular is an acquired taste tonally; a clear emphasis on "purity" with bass quantity being the necessary compromise. I'm currently reviewing their single-DD Orla, which is a steal at its price. It won't necessarily compete with the big dogs in terms of raw performance, but it (and its planned successors) certainly is one-to-watch in the overall space.
@Deezel177 I am taking notes, not looking for pure perf or competition, but fun and euphony as well as DD goodness is sure top on my list
Looks like it needs power to be driven...
Edit : checked it out, quite affordable great to know, release price is wow great!
Now do they accept STL files... let’s see... depending on signature (not too bright I hope ?)

Thanks for that...the Equinox sounds like it would be a great compliment to Solaris (your impressions of which are excellent and totally in line with my own, as I've stated elsewhere

Fwiw the equinox needs closed mouth impressions it seems. On the flipside they do accept stl files, so no idea if open mouth ones would work or not. Been tempted a couple of times to order a pair due to the short lengths.

Typically you get more bass going from universal to CIEM but I think the opposite is true going from Atlas to Equinox, probably due to its shorter stem. This makes me curious about how the Equinox demo unit sounds because it certainly doesn't look like it's short stem.
I auditioned the Atlas before ordering the Equinox and I felt the Equinox is less V-shaped than the Atlas (from my memory, which is probably not reliable). There's an Equinox review on another site that claims the Equinox is a more W-shaped Atlas, which I think is probably fairly accurate given how CA also claimed the Equinox has a more refined sound signature compared to the Atlas.
In the end, I do think the Equinox and Atlas are more similar than they are different.

I completely forgot about the Eden CIEMs, but like Daniel said, Sammy makes DD CIEMs. The Eden though are not DD goodness, but pretty darn unique sounding. Where the Phantom get their timbre from warmth, the Eden get it through a completely different tuning that is much less warm and yet works extremely well. Unique stuff that does come at a price though, but if you are interested then make sure to talk to Sammy to see what he has available because he always has a few things in the works that are not on the website.

Thanks @Wyville, from the reviews I read not sure Eden is a tuning I would dig but if I get the chance to find someone who has them in the community in Paris I sure won’t pass!
I imagine closed mouth impressions are fine, I actually meant I didn't know if Campfire would accept open mouth impressions for them. If you don't mind hybrids then a couple of other choices are stealthsonics c2 at $499 and Empire Ears Bravado at $699 if that helps?

Yeah if you’ve read my U2 review you know I was on the fence about getting the C2 eventually, it’s really nice.
After what happened with my Phantom and how it was handled I don’t think I’ll got back to EE honestly... but I have read great things about the Bravado.
