Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread

I’m an unequivocal final fanboy, no doubt about it. Being half Japanese on my mother’s side, I was raised to learn the culture, and I’ve never looked back.

I love the original D8000 and compared it to the Pro version in a review I wrote ... the D8000 has a tone that warms my heart. ❤

My A8000 is totally different, it makes my head buzz 🤪 with excitement, the transparency is stellar. Never a problem of brightness for me after my long burn-in.

I dream D8000 since was released but I enjoy so much my Humile Pandora Hope VI shen I need a close can.
A800 is another Final product that I’d like to listen, but TOTL isn’t easy to listen and buy also for me 😅
B1, B2, B3 I don’t remember what’s better choice.

Did anyone compare Pandora Hope VI with Beyer T5p Gen2?

Listening to Xiami streamed MQA and lossless music on the AK SP2000Cu through the A8000s on a lazy Sunday morning. Have been listening on this combo over the weekend. The A8000 has been burning in beautifully. All the nuances are now really coming through: the dynamics, the visceral bass when it hits, the timbre of instruments being plucked, the layering of the sound stage...

Agree that there are familial similarities with the B1, but at the same time so different. I am waiting to take delivery of the B3 from Claire at Jaben in Singapore. I am resisting the temptation to get her to send them across immediately. I am just waiting for the balanced cables she has ordered for me to arrive from Final Audio. In the meantime, I can appreciate and enjoy the A8000 and the B1 in their respective splendor and joyous portrayal of music. :)

The B3 has arrived! Thanks to Claire from Jaben SG. Interesting that it is not so easy to drive as a BA based driver. Listening to it on about the same levels as the A8000.

Finally got my A8000.

First impression, I only have one word 完璧 (Perfect)

The voice of Yoko Suzuhana has been represented with such emotion and power that I have not experience it before.

Quick compare to my filter mod IER-Z1R-
Bass - Z1R is far more superior and more thum. A8000 bass is much faster decay is not a bad thing to my ears is good trade off for the speed
Mids - Despite with mod has push it slightly front, it just unable to compare to the full emotional rush of how A8000 is presented. The vocal placement of A8000 is just perfect, Z1R at times can seems to push slightly behind where is feels like the other instrument envelope the singer.
Highs - This both is very equal match with modded Z1R with more spark and splash. (More burn in to A8000 required to further compare the highs)

Overall A8000 is better due to the coherency of a single DD which I always love the EX1000 for. Z1R still has the coherency issue not bad by any means but when compare side by side it is very noticeable

As for the fit A8000 is the best overall. It just suck into my ear perfectly

Congrats! It’s a very special IEM. Once it has burnt in, the beryllium driver is really supple and nuanced. I have also discovered that running it balanced (because generally balanced output on DAPs have more driving power) really reaps sonic benefits. :)

What is your preference for sound sound signature and tonality.
I personally like E3000 more than the E5000, it has less mid bass, less warmer tonality, and feel more clear.

I like when it’s warm with details

E5000’s details is surprisingly decent good with its configuration, but just average for its price range.

Heard the e5000 and currently have the f7200, very opposing sound signatures. I found it e5k on the darker side of the signature but very texture rich on the lower end of the spectrum. The f7200 is good end to end, but I have nitpicks, the 3k upper mids is a bit too emphasized but rich in detailing though this can fatigue certain users more.

It will depend what you're looking for.
Edit: 7200 end to end has nice low reach for ba: fast, detailed, but very weak in impact 😥
