Got the TACable Obsidian to go with the A4000.

Its a interesting experence, it pulls the mids up and slightly reduces both the treble and bass slightly changing it from a bright V to a more mellow warm B3 like U shape sound. But still with the advantage of the stage and amazingly increased clarity over the stock cable. Makes it suitable for listening for long hours. All with the advatage of the speed of the DFU driver. Still doesnt make it as resoving as the B3 though.
Not sure if I can recommend it, on one hand its a very nice cable and changes the sound for the better but on the other hand it changes the sound too much from stock.
It’s hard to know what to do. Stock cable is good for SE, as long as one has a good seal tip tbe FR is good across the range but balanced is not an option without cable rolling. Given a < $150 IEM I would only try a cable I have on hand, and it needs to be a recessed one for A4000.

Does anyone have experience with 4.4 or 2.5mm balanced original Final cables for E5000 or F7200? I own both and am tempted to buy these original balanced cables as aftermarket. Although they are quite hard to come by and very expensive. Will use with Fiio M11 Plus ESS.

Have the A4000 and the A3000 since a few days. My preference goes to the A3000 for the time being. Stock cable is ok and many aftermarket option alter the sound in a negative way. Only the Penon PAC480 beats the stock cable so far.

The A3000 is an absolute steal at this price range and sounds amazing out of the Lotoo P6K or the Calyx M.

I'm sitting here rejacking a final sonorous headphone cable. Has anyone had any experience doing this? There is a red, green, blue and copper wires and what's making this hard is that there isn't a mic on these ..so I have no idea how to line these up. Anyone have a clue ?

Have you tried the Penon cable w/ A4000 and how did that work?

Yep, I tried it and the low-end slightly gained in weight. Still, I just sold my A4000 and kept the A3000, which suits my preferences better.

Just ordered a pair of ZE3000 based on the positive reviews here and there.

Is there any owner ready to share his/her very short impressions about that set?

Nice! I posted this a few months ago.

I am thinking about upgrading from E4000 to E5000. I like a bit of extra bass so they sound like a good upgrade.

My main question is - can something like Hidizs 9Pro with an iPhone drive them? From the reviews, it sounds like it may not be possible.
Are there any other bullet-style IEMs I should consider as an E4000 upgrade? I tried many different models and just can't get a good fit that will let me listen for more than an hour if it is not a bullet shape/style.

The E5000 is bassier than E4000 and has a thicker note weight also.

The E5000 is unfortunately one of the hardest IEMs to drive, due to the low sensitivity. The E4000 itself is not that easy to drive, but the E5000 is way harder to drive. By drive, I don't mean jacking it to a low powered source and maxing the volume. It is just that you lose dynamics and the E5000's bass becomes boomy and one-noted without adequate juice.

The only dongles that I tried that could satisfactorily drive em are the Apogee Groove and Questyle M15 (high gain, balanced 4.4mm). I never tried the Hidizs 9Pro, but most dongles can't really do the E5000 justice.

Edit: something better than the E4000 that is bullet shaped would be the Sony XBA N3. It has an L shaped bassy profile, very smooth and non fatiguing, excellent timbre (Considering it has BAs inside). Easy to drive, excellent soundstage and layering and has improved resolution over the Final E4000.

Thank you for confirming my concerns and suggesting Sony. I will do a bit more research on them but they sound like they could fit my needs.
I am also looking at Shure Aonic 3 but I am not sure they provide enough of an upgrade over E4000.

Agree with @baskingshark that E5000 is difficult to drive. It’s the only IEM that apple dongle noticeably reduces the sound quality. Noted that the frequency response stays the same across sources, but the note attacks are noticeably blunter and less separated on weaker sources.

Not quite agree about how much power E5000 needs, though. It sounds satisfying (and the same) across my btr5, ka3, and hidizs ap80 pro x.
