Still haven't had time to really enjoy it yet.
Haha! OK. It is the culmination of the experimental and more specialized iterations that were the Piano Forte range.

I tend to wear mine as Takai-San intended them to be. Haha! But my view is it is up to each individual what works best. :)

Well. That's it. I am done with Final Audio products. My E5000 malfunctioned today. This is after what, <150 hours of use over their 1.5 years lifespan. The left earpiece just gone quiet. Barely audible. This also happened to pair of E3000 earlier, but @ 79 AUD I thought it was just a bad luck and threw them away. Well @399 AUD and out of warranty (1 year only) this is the worst personal audio purchase I ever made.

:/

Sad to hear that. Same thing happened with my E2000, luckily it was still under warranty so I got refunded. On the other hand, my B3 was flawless after more than a year. Have you checked the cable?

Hi. Yes I have. Both cable and DAP. Its the earpiece. I emailed the retailer where I got them from. See if they can do anything about it.

Final has said before that the majority of the time they have returns for low volume it turns out to be blockage in the nozzle filter. I would remove the eartips and check the filters and clean as necessary. Worth a try.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply and your suggestion.

I haven't used these much at all. Nozzle filter looks squeaky clean. There are no signs of blockage or any dirt. Should/could I remove it at all and if so, how?

Regards

Don't remove filter. If you look at the filter with a flashlight and everything looks clean and clear then your problem isn't a blockage.

Thank you!

As said. Filter looks super clean. As I was looking at that filter, I instinctively sucked it out (on the earpiece) few times. Guess what. Once I done that. Sound (volume) comes back, lasts few minutes and then goes back to whisper quiet again?! Well. I'd be damned.

Yeah the QC is really an issue with the E series. Even when they are brand new, they can have slight mismatch in certain frequencies. I have accumulated 5 pairs of E4000 just to mix and match and get the best channel matching possible.

Wow. That's the real dedication.

Sound wise, I like(d) both my E3000 and E5000, but ultimately both proved to be "a money down the drain". :frowning2:

I'll see what ATA comes back with in terms of my options. If its too costly, I may just sell the cable and give/sell the right earpiece to someone.

Regards
