Yes, stock pads from D8000 are very bad, i use pads from Pro, they are way better.I heard the D8000 pads are too soft and lead to the headphone kind of falling down and putting pressure on the upper ears? Do the pads touch your ears?

I heard that Cube sound better.
I heard that Cube sound better.
maybe it does, but still impressive device.Yes i know he exist
I heard that Cube sound better.
And its more compact than Cube.
Never tried the Pro pads and probably never will. The stock D8000 pads are cool and comfortable; better than any of the real leather pads on my other headphones, or any Alcantara-type pad I've experienced. I rely on the headband and slider mechanism to keep the earcups on my ears.Thats what I heard thats why I was confused by @NehPets post
Have you been able to audition one of the two SS amps I mentioned in my last post, (Bakoon amp 13 and Niimbus US4+)?[
I currently run my d8000 pros with a cayin ha-300 and burl b2 bomber dac. It's currently my favorite setup of all time .
I am still unsure if I should go the SS vs. the tube amp route, since I listen to a lot of bass heavy Dubstep and I feel that the Bakoon might have more control over the bass than the Cayin HA 300. But of course I might be totally mistaken, since I never heard those amps.
Is there anybody around who has auditioned one of the two SS hp amps I have mentioned?

I have used the bakoon 13r with the susvara and the abyss tc...it is a wonderful little amp
So one can assume I think if the Bakoon is able to drive two of the most difficult to drive headphones, it will be more than sufficient for the D8000/Pro.I have used the bakoon 13r with the susvara and the abyss tc...it is a wonderful little amp

the bakoon had no issue driving the susvara so I cant imagine it would possibly have issue with the d8000
unforunately not, my cayin 300 was kind a blind buy even though i heard the empyrean with it at canjam in 2018Have you been able to audition one of the two SS amps I mentioned in my last post, (Bakoon amp 13 and Niimbus US4+)?

This headphone has grabbed my attention especially with BelieveHifi's review. A great, pricey amp is needed to make this headphone shine though. And the hefty weight is a downside..
it doesn't especially when you compare them to other high end headphones, they're way easier to drive. This headphone has grabbed my attention especially with BelieveHifi's review. A great, pricey amp is needed to make this headphone shine though. And the hefty weight is a downside..
