One thing i noticed when judging headphones, reviews, members and friends opinions.....the most important question is the playlist of music. What type of music do you listen to? What does the reviewers listen to? This is the most important part of reading reviews.

Yes I wholeheartedly agree. Even more so if one like me doesn't listen to "audiophile" music. Or that type of gengres almost nobody mentions.

Today I received my custom cable for my D8k from @skedra (https://vikingweavecables.com/).
So happy with the result. He was even able to source original locking connectors from Final directly. Amazing craftsmanship as always
It's also so much lighter than the stock cable which improves comfort quite a bit.

Final Audio D8000 Pro Limited Edition Is Up for Pre-Order

I came to this forum specifically for this information because I see the D8k/Pro in the classifieds mentioning the new ones. They look like beauts and I do believe this also is Final...well...finally adding a stock balanced cable!

I currently have the Sonorous X (and soon Forte X to join them) which sound fabulous... but I've always wondered how these planars sound in comparison, and can my DAP drive them well enough!

Just got into the club for about a week, I must say that I'm really happy with D8000p, sounds really good and natural, now I'm paring it with crystal connect micro diamond headphone cable, sounds much better than the two stock cables!

After long years of usage, my pair of D8000 headphones' headband is wearing off with the leather cracking and falling off. Does anyone know is it possible for any replacement of the headband?

In my opinion, adx5000 more suitable for female vocal and better high freq, while d8kp is better on mid and low, and it sounds awesome when listen to live recording, but d8kp is less forgiving, it reveals everything that's bad from you system or the music.

For me, the sound stage not too different, and the d8000pro have better imaging and separation and more impact, you can feel the vibration through the air, also better sound texture, but there's one thing I have to say is the cable I use on d8000pro is far better than the one on adx5000, so I do think that the d8000pro is better overall, but not by a mile.

A friend of mine had a D8K Pro loaner and told me he experienced some distortion in the Bass on higher volumes (Especially when using a bass shelf)

Anyone else who encountered this issue?
His Focal and Meze were fine with the same settings

Did you ever read D8k topic? Its most common issue with this headphones.
I didn't, but thanks for confirming that it is a common thing.
