I'll have to check it out, i use my fiio every morning when walk on my treadmill, i was really low on battery so i'm charging it today, see what i get later today, i generally use balanced iem's 99% of the time so that eats away at the battery a bit too, plus hi-res files.

A small sampling, fully charged, a little over 30 minutes with regular 16-44 flac files, balanced iem's and viper4 android running, no wi-fi no bluetooth, i went from 100% to 92% with about 6 hours remaining according to battery section of settings. So possibly 8 hours running time
with nothing running in the background minus viper.

Interesting. I did a full test today with this setup
Wifi: no
bluetooth: no
Balanced turbo: On
Playing on Tidal offline Hifi/MQa files
Balanced earbud 32ohms
Volume: 45
Runtime: 6hours 5mins
If I remember correctly with this setup I run almost at 7hrs. Not sure if updated tidal app consume more resources.
Tomorrow I will full battery test with just fiio app playing flac 16-44.

Hi, how do you manage to run with V4A? Is it from old music player version or stand alone V4A. Tried to install V4A but no luck to run its showing Processing: No.

My bad, driver is installed, driver is enabled, alas no processing, wth. I damn sure wish fiio's association with viper didn't fall by the wayside, i enjoyed it. I wonder what is stopping the driver from doing its job.
Is there any DAP available that allows you to “easily” build a Queue list (like Volumio does) or an on the fly playlist within the DAP itself?
X5 III is just too frustrating. I want a DAP that just plays the music I want to play in excellent quality. I don’t want to have to be a software genius to run this thing.
Iphone or Android smart-phone + DAC/amp like the Q5 or iFi xDSD. Wireless or wired options + superior DAC and amp to the Android or iOS device, and all the goodness of the Android or iOS UI of your choice.

Anybody having issues with the equalizer working with the stock fiio player? i have turned it on and went through the presets and notice no difference what so ever.
Whether using android mode or pure music mode, i'm on the 1.2.2 firmware. i have to use jetaudio or power player to get any effects i can toy with.
Shame about viper not being in this iteration.
