[FiiO M6] Portable High-Resolution Lossless Music Player,Embracing A Wireless Future

Could anyone recommend a version and apk for the Hiby music app that runs on the Fiio m6? Trying different versions but it will not install beyond "staging app" @FiiO

Thanks
Dear friend,

We do not have the recommendation of this app. Since FW1.0.3, we have added new option to remove the white list app limitation. However, kindly note that the player might act slow if running with too many apps. And some third-party apps may not work properly on the player.

Best regards

I have been using M6 for a long time without feeling the need to change anything. Maybe it was because I got used to the handling.
Now, because I ordered a M11S, I wanted to see what is written about this new device and I discover that the app Fiio Music in a new version and it would also be available for M6. Ok, I thought to myself then try this new version (even linked to the iPhone, well, let's see...), so I had to uninstall the old version and installed the new one and now I'm struggling a bit with the handling.
I do have questions:
1. if I do not get along, partout, with this version (at least here on M6), how can I reinstall the old version? The app was installed from the beginning on em M6 and I had made over time only the firmware updates.
2. as I remember now, with the old version, when I started the app, playing the music (of the track, of course, whether was now itself music or speech, does not matter) did not start immediately. I was allowed to start. As I said, I think I remember it that way. Is this option not in the new version?
3. I try to use the M6 with the iPhone through the app Fiio Music. Through Fiio Link I came to success with the WiFi setting. But WiFi 2.4 ghz is not so the latest nowadays so the iPhone should also use that and 5 ghz M6 can not (and there are quite a few situations where the two devices are not in the same network), so I would use Bluetooth but I do not get that. M6 has recognized the iPhone, the iPhone has a connection to M6, but now in Fiio Music for iOS, when I want to create a Fiio Link connection comes the IP query for WiFi.

Thank you for the answers.

Dear friend,

1. If you would like to install the Android version FiiO Music app in the M6, you could read this link for help:
2. The FiiO link Bluetooth is not supported in iPhone.
FiiO link Wifi:
1.Make sure the M6 and your mobile phone are connected to the same WiFi network.

2.On the FiiO Music app of the M6, Settings->FiiO Link->┆ (on the upper right corner of the display), choosing WiFi as the Server. Now an IP address will show up.

3. On the FiiO Music app of the mobile phone, Settings->FiiO Link->┆ (on the upper right corner of the display), choosing WiFi as the Client. Input the IP address in the pop-up dialog and complete the connection.

Total newbie question here.
I'd like to connect my M6 to the Audiolab Omnia of mine (integrated amplifier) as a music database, but I cannot understand how... through the headphone / line out connection or through USB output?
Do I need to switch the device to another function in the setting menu?
Any advice is helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Well, you can do both and then switch between line in or usb of the Omnia. If you use line out of M6, then you will be using the DAC of M6 and if you use usb, then you will be using the DAC of Omnia. If you feel a preference between the two modes after that, then you might choose just one way to connect M6 to the Omnia. Good luck

I've tried the USB connection (on the assumption that the DAC inside the amplifier could be better) but it doesn't work: it seems that it's not able to access to the M6... On the other hand, it can open the music files on the HDD. Am I missing something? Should I switch some option in the M6?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, it looks like the Omnia is detecting your M6 as a storage media...perhaps there is some setting that sets the M6 as a player transport or able to connect tu a usb DAC. On all my occasion connecting the M6 to external DACs , there were no problems using the M6 as a player transporting digital music.

Have you tried "Developer Options">"Select USB Configuration"">Select "Audio Source"?

Do you mean you want to use the M6 solely as the music library and utilise the DAC/Amp of the Omnia?

So cut out the DAC of the M6 on the chain?

If that's what your trying, using the USB C out from the M6 and putting it in Vehicle Mode should work. I've tried that with the FIIO K5 Pro and smsl Sanskrit 10thII. As soon as you plug the USB C cable into the M6 it'll open FIIO MUSIC. Both times it bypassed the M6 DAC.

Just connect the USBC to your Omnia and see if it works for that device.

I'll try this solution tonight!

I was wondering if anybody could help me to get Deezer working on the Fiio M6. I mostly play music from the SdCard/ my music collection, but once in a while there is something I don't have so I use Deezer. This worked, although a bit awkwardly, for a while on the M6 but then stopped working altogether. Previously when it would not work I rebooted the player and it would work again. Now it just doesn't work at all. I think I've reinstalled (with the APK from the Fiio website) with no affect. Maybe the deezer web service has just updated so much since this release it no longer works, which would be good just to know.
Any advice would be really appreciated,
Thanks in advance,

Dear friend,

You may try whether this one could work: http://fiio-app.oss-cn-hangzhou.ali...inAPI19(armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)_apkmirror.com.apk
Or try to download the latest version from Apkpure then install it in M6.

Best regards

Thank you very much, Both of the ones you pointed me to are more up to date than the one that was one my player. I uninstalled the old version and installed a new version and now it is working again. Thanks for the link and the info.
Dear friend,

Glad to hear about that. Thanks for the kind feedback.

Best regards
